Re: Segagaga translation in the works
I think he is in North Carolina...there has got to be somebody in the area with some crazy programming skills. However, I guess this gives me more time to look for a copy of Segagaga!

Re: Dreamcast 2008 HD ** Update 1 **
I was playing Shadow of the Collosus (spelling?) on my friends 50" Pioneer plasma tv, and it looked like real crap. I even had it hooked up with Sony official ps2 component cables, but it still looked like puke...too bad. It is odd how even a regular tv can make certain games look better than the hi...

Re: GOAT Store Publishing to announce 2006 / 2007 projects
I am not holding my breath. I am just keeping hope that a few more shmups come out of Japan for an actual commercial release. The fact is that it takes a lot of work to make a game; and if these games are being made by the average joe(s) who have lives, jobs, etc....the odds are that it will take a ...

Re: So what do you do with your Dreamcast?
My gaming has been layed out across various systems. For Dreamcast, I have been playing off and on a little PSO to try to build up my level 106 character. I'm still getting slowly through Half-Life. However, I picked up some great imports while I was in Japan this Summer. I finish classes this Frida...

I would add on Ooga Booga and Floigan Brothers as well as Shenmue and Sword of the Berserk: Gut's Rage. If she is liking Soul Calibur, have her try out Dead or Alive 2 or Project Justice.

Re: The Seven Mansions Project, Japanese Title being translated
This is big news. Koei of Dynasty Warriors fame made this game. I picked it up years back hoping for either a good translation, and now a patch is in the works. This is awesome. The quality from what i played of it is visually on par with the Resident Evil updates on Dreamcast...almost on par with R...

However, what does this do for the cost of eggs in China?
Only playing, this sounds really fascinating. Kind of reminds me back in the days of how the Dreamcast graphics card didn't load content not on the screen or something like that. Sounds like great conservation of resources.

Re: Wanted: Official Strategy guides
Brady has been inflating the size of their guides for a few years now without increasing the content...they have been fluffing the guides. You want to see a good guide, go back and find some of the Versus guides. I sure miss that company.

Re: In My Eyes The Worst Sega Employee
1) There are a ton of awesome games that never came to the Saturn in the US due to Stolar AND other publishers - just because Sega chooses not to publish X game from Japan doesn't mean that somebody else couldn't have published it - ex: Konami could have easily published Castlevania, Snatcher, Polic...

Wow...I wish I would have noticed this post earlier. I've got sealed copies of the game along with other ones. Man I've got to get back into ebaying.
On a side note, show your friend some PSO, Shenmue, and Soul Calibur - that should let him know what is up!

Re: You all are bastards, you didn't even say Happy Birthday.
Unfortunately, I didn't have an rf switch as I have been out of town. However, I did bring my dreamcast with me along with a few good ones like UT, Headhunter, SA 2, and more. Always glad to see it mentioned, and I couldn't help but remember my first time playing the system when I brough it home and...

I've made several expensive orders with this company, and they are great.
Hope this helps!
Oh yes, just keep your eyes on ebay. I saw it go for under $50 in the past month.

Re: Customer buys 20 Wiis..
I am still baffled at how well this system is selling considering there aren't any games besides Zelda that would make me want to play for anything beyond 30 minutes. Granted, those mini-games are fun to play. However, I need something compelling to keep me in front of a tv and little mini games jus...

Re: Peter Moore leaves Microsoft
..but why go to EA Sports? What? Is he going to create a shuffleboard franchise? I think he was a good front man for Sega (far better than that @$$ Bernie Stolar who made Working Design hate Sega and kept cool stuff like Radiant Silvergun and Grandia from coming to the US during the Saturn era). How...

Re: Holy Crap, Sony Gets Their Game Together
A PS3 is still way over-priced, and their still isn't enough inspiring software on the system to intrigue me in making that kind of a purchase. Granted, I still have not decided on whether to go for a blue-ray or HD-DVD player as DVDs still get the job done for me. However, I am still waiting on buy...

Re: Sonic & The Jaggard Edges at the olympics
Since this is Sonic & Mario, I will probably bet the game will be good. Why? Nintendo does not like releasing crap games of their key franchises. When was the last bad Mario game? You probably have to go back to the Mario is Missing or what not to find a crappy Mario or the 3DO for a crappy Zelda ga...

Re: System shock 2
This game would have been awesome to see. It is actually a shame with the Dreamcast, because 1998 was a bumper-crop year of great pc games...especially fps. However, even with Windows CE, it didn't make much of an impact of pc games coming out on the DC.

Re: Just what kind of gamer are you?
Great topic of discussion. I find myself almost more interested in collecting games than actually playing them...well...I guess I just lack the time to really enjoy games like I used to back in the days. As a third year medical student with a wonderful girlfriend and a part-time job, I find my playi...
