No soldering? What do you do exactly? I'm not sure if I understand... Have you taken a look at the picture of the nes pad? I'm not sure if I understand how you'd wire controllers with this pad w/o soldering. Pretend I'm an idiot here, as I'm very new to this kind of thing. How would sticking the fig...

He styled his thing so that a cord comes out of the back of a mad catz controller with a db12 female end. Then you can just solder a cord with a db12 male end coming out. You can have multiple odd types of controllers on a single mad catz, and the mad catz still functions correctly.

Ugh. The layout of that board is totally different from my mad catz. I might try popping open one of my official boards to see if the layout is any less confusing then mine. Blah, thing I'm curious about is if it would be possible to just cut the cable off the mad catz and solder the NES's on. if it...

Hmm. An emulator that could play all, or even most of those would still be *VERY* nice.. Heh.

It doesn't matter the N64 L and R are digital. So are PSX, they just are always at max every time the thing is pushed. I'd guess it would be possible, you just wouldn't have the two far away C buttons mapped, and Z would equal L and R would equal R. I think it could work - the guy who says he will d...

Hah, Quake III doesn't even come close to running full speed on the DC. With a single bot, seems to run at around 15-25 FPS, if that.

This is the catz board. Where do I solder on this?

I'm assuming the solder points here are where it looks like there already were solders. Right? I'm new to this.

"Somewhere in these paths they all have a through-hole in the run." I can't seem to find this. The paths unique to each button all just seem to go into the VMU connector glue and stop. Could you get a pic for the mad catz controller? If you don't have a digital camera I can supply a high res pic of ...

NES controllers on the DC?

I know many hate them, but I've always loved the original NES controllers. Now that NesterDC is virtually perfect in full screen, I'd like to mod one of my NES controllers to play on the DC. I took one look at the standard DC board and decided sticking it's guts in there wouldn't work to well. I hav...

Split screen Doom

There was a port of Doom made a couple years ago that supported split screen. The source, Windows 9x I believe, is available here http://www.3ddownloads.com/showfile.php3?file_id=7524 Binaries here: http://www.3ddownloads.com/showfile.php3?file_id=7496 Would it be possible to port it to the DC? I'd ...

Looks like it got deleted. To bad, it was fun finally getting a chance to try Alien Front Online.. Online (oh yeah, WTF didn't they put split screen into that game?). I'm thinking about trying to get Win 98SE back so I can maybe get AFO working through the DC-PC server setup. Apparently games can't ...

The coder of DCDivx has said that it will almost certainly never have decent quality divx that high - especially since the max bitrate the DC can apparently handle is about 800kbps.

When playing full screen... The games look weird. There are occasionally random lines through the screen. This is Pre-release 5 I think. It's not they're slow, there are just some annoying graphical anomalies. It doesn't *look* like a NES exactly fullscreen. Maybe it's just my DC or just that partic...
