Contra Force SHOULD run slow. It ran slow on the NES as well. That was one reason I liked the game, though I'm probably unusual in that. Like an action movie. 8)

"why pay 25 dollars for a dreamvcd player, when.......a dvd/vcd player can be bought of ebay for 60 dollarS?" Why pay $60+$20 shipping for a DVD player when you can go pick up an Apex AD1500, hack it region free/no macrovision and pay $70 for it at a local store? Heh. Though yeah, I could NEVER imag...

I'm getting a flash advance either saturday or monday. The 64 meg card has 8 megaBYTES of space, the 128 has 16 and the 256 32 megabytes. So you can fit literally hundreds of roms on the 256 one, and over 50 easily on the 64. I'm gettin the 256 8)

I'm gonna have to give credit to Marvin. His tutorial just assumed you already had a bit to much knowledge for my tastes. I was smart enough and had enough tech knowledge to figure it out, but I figured a more step by step thing would be good. I think I forgot to credit him in there, I need to add t...

My NES2DC tutorial..

My very detailed and picture filled tutorial on how to mod a Quantum Fighter pad to be used as a full-functioned NES controller is now finished. It can be viewed at the following link. http://nes2dc.tripod.com Have fun with it, and if I'm worthy it'd be cool to get a mention on the front page 8)

lik-sang.com reliable?

As above, wanted to buy a couple things from there. Is lik-sang.com really reliable?

I have a better question: Will either of the MAMEs run Simpsons or X-men well? I'd burn it just for that. :o

Same thing happened to me with the newest NesterDC. I used JimNESBoot to make it, the only thing I switched was the 1ST_READ.bin. Do I also need to update the IP.bin or anything? I want to see the effects of the bilinear filter... Since on a few games I can legitimately see where it would help. Plus...

Does that screen actually have RCA inputs or can it just handle them? If it doesn't have the inputs, could they be soldered/hacked in some way on? I might want it for my car if it can be - that's a GREAT price. Thanks for the link.

Go for 22khz mono.. You'll get better performance. The difference is not highly noticable unless you have a stereo with external speakers or are on headphones.

Success! I got it working, though for some reason I forgot to do the select button. Blah. Only odd thing is that after I cut off the triggers they act as if they're always held down. Very annoying, since it renders the controller unusable for first player.. I should of left them on since it lets you...

Erm.. I'm pretty sure standard TVs are something like 512 by 3xx.

Otherwise you'd see no difference in crispness between VHS (roughly 352x240) and DVDs (760xsomething)

Oh yeah, if you really want that quantum pad, I'll ship it to you. I have no use for it, and make regular trips to the post office for ebay sales. 8)

Maybe you can fix it.

I got a NES pad working. To bad I burned my finger a bit on the soldering iron. This was with a quantum pad. The strange thing is it behaves as if L and R are held down all the time - I cut them off, so they're not. This means it's no good for a single player controller, since I can't e...

I suspect mine was just a dud. I bought it used, after all. I bought another one today, as I'm to paranoid about accidentally crossing over a wire and blowing out my DC. I'm giving my mad catz to a friend, who would be more likely to risk such things. I actually tried soldering it, but I sucked at i...

Sorry, but I'm gonna have to give the quantum the thumbs down. It just stopped working for no apparent reason. Was working fine last night, did nothing to it, now it doesn't work... Eh, there's $8 down the drain. :? Oh yeah, the "Unknown Circular thing" is a battery. A watch battery, which is how it...
