Well sure but if one can be sourced cheaply who cares? Not like it'll be used for gaming.

That, but AGP.
or:
  • GeForce 2 (any) / GeForce 2MX / GeForce 4MX
    Radeon 8500
    GeForce 3 (any)
    Radeon 9200
    Radeon 9500 / 9600
There's gotta be at least one of those available on eBay for dirt cheap .

I bought my 360 in December and returned it to GameStation two days later after the DVD drive failed. The replacement is running fine though.

TVersity media server. With a fast enough CPU you can stream any video live to your 360. No hacks, and minimal setup required.

Yeah he's clumsily trying to dodge the issue of PS3 being outsold by Wii, PS2 and yes, probably Xbox 360 too. Nice jab at Microsoft's console being "rejected" there as well. Somewhat ironic I'd say.

Re: Strange Xbox HDTV problem

Fable and Panzer Dragoon Orta both give me a scrambled screen, like I'm using an invalid resolution. Currently, all the resolution modes are enabled in the Xbox system menu, the system is connected via component cable Any chance you could post a picture of the scrambling? My v1.6 xbox does the same...

The advantage of this approach is that you can install XBMC to the larger E: drive, so that you won't run out of room if you've got a lot of skins or scripts or whatever. You can do exactly what you want. In one of the config files, you can choose a different XBMC folder AFAIK. If you're softmoddin...

I bought Garry's Mod 10. The current Paypal exchange rate of $1.91 / £1 swayed guided my choice somewhat.

I'm still getting to grips with the gmod UI though, after building my first contraption.

YOu know, that's exactly how I feel too. As cheap and easy the chips are for Xbox's, there isn't ANY reason why you shouldnt just install a chip. Convenience. One copy of Splinter Cell, a memory card with an Autoinstaller and five modded xboxes so far - I would not have liked to break out the solde...

but from what I understand...if I get a game or movie that is in 1080p, and try to play it back on the PS3, it can't rescale it to one of those; it will drop me down to the same 480p I get from my six-year-old DVD player. Are you sure? I thought the only issue was with 720p content since the PS3 ba...

In theory an A2DP Bluetooth receiver should work but apparently Apple don't support A2DP so you're out of luck unless you use a 3rd party bluetooth stack, I guess. Do those even exist for MacOS? :?

Can I stream video and music to my 360 without Media Center? Yes. You'll need something like TVersity What's the average battery life for the Wireless controller? 20 hours or so? Also, I've grown to ignore that meter: It's never accurate and is up and down like a bad joke. What are some good Xbox L...
