Bin2boot was actually made by the warezscene to boot commercial games. It was made by Xeal some years back, but afaik he never published the source. Most of the selfboot programs out there use bin2boot so should give a problem to those users who have Windows XP SP1 also. And I never heard that bin2b...

Isn't this going out of hand? Visiting the mainpage rings all bells now with Norton (Bloodhound Trojan Blocked...), maybe it's a false alarm, but it is not very inviting. Unless you want to pay us the money to move to another domain I want to and I am dead serious. I can even go as a for as offer an...

Maybe if you mount the VMU like GPF suggested above it could work. I wonder if the VMU could be mounted as a hard drive as well as RAM? Yeah, or using the ramdrive method mentioned by GPF. Gonna try that soon. For the most part on a top of the line PC, dosbox acts like a low-end 486. I think if we ...

The Dreamcast version is based on the Atari800 1.2.3 code base. You can find more info about this emu at this webpage . I haven't updated that site for a long time, but at some time you will find the updated info on DC Help . If you have some usefull info about the emulator to add, than please post ...

I just tried my favorite DOS game of all time: Stunts / 4D Sports Driving. And I was suprised that it even loaded. Great to see the game on the television running trough the Dreamcast. Without modifications, I could directly play the game with the controller! It was also nice to see how the game loa...

Thanks for the clear explanation Heliophobe. Facinating that the NES Zapper works so simple, yet on the outside looks very advanced. Especially when you realise they already used this technique in 1985. So the Master System had even a better lightgun system? On the subject, I think the problem with ...

Interesting post! I believe the Zapper could be adapted to work on a Dreamcast with an NES emulator that's been programmed to support it. I do have an old NES Zapper lying around, does anybody can give me some more info on how to do this. Or does the method that alb3530 used for the SMS Phaser works...

You are sure that you are using version 0.2b and not 0.2DDD because that version had the bug that it didn't save the screen position. If you are using 0.2b (see credits screen for the version number), than try to have an VMU inserted before starting up the Dreamcast. Go to options and than press B t...

Resigned as in quit being a mod, or leaving the forums/scenes all together? If it's the last one that would really be a shame of those good people, at least you need to create one last "I'm leaving!" topic than.

Finally it's in the beta stage now (first release was an alpha preview), I really need to burn some new stuff soon. Funny I even remember this thread from 2003, where BlackAura explained how difficult Amiga 500 emulation is. So again, really a great job from Chui! And oh from that same topic I would...

Sounds cool. I'll have to try it out. I'm wondering how it's all laid out and stuff. Some of those special features are similar to what NesterDC SE has/will have. But there's features in this compilation that won't be in SE, so that's cool. I see it more like a final ode to our beloved original Nes...

Hi, been away for the DC scene for some months but came back especially to release this image. Chris and many others worked for months and months on this compilation. The image is huge, you have hours of fun trying all of it. I'll try to post some highlights of the image the next days.

The original files found on Toastman's site, loaded and played fine with DC Hakker.

BTW, Toastman your sites menu doesn't work here in IE 6.0, but does in Firefox.

Every time I work on it, I feel like I'm making my ultimate NES tribute. For me, emulation is great, but it lacks some of the nostalgic feeling I get when playing on real hardware. That's why I want to be able to look at boxart, screenshots, and read instruction manuals. It helps me remember the la...

I'm totally addicted to GT3 atm, so I can wait till GT4 is released in the platinum label. However, does anybody knows if the PAL GT4 version supports progressive scanning? The component cable connection looks great, but progressive scanning can make it even better!
