Re: PVR Data Format Documentation?
Thank you. One more question. Isn't then creating a homebrew software and KallistiOS project in particular a copyright infringement? It is impossible to create something like KOS without technical documentation and specifications, and I think those documents are too never supposed to leave SEGA's of...

Re: Using blender models in KGL (is jfm the best option?)
So you're rolling down your own format ? Ryo, I think you misunderstand this XKCD. Dev is not trying to create a universal standard. This is a proprietary file format only for the Dreamcast and it serves a purpose that is not fulfilled by others. I think we misunderstood each other. I got what he w...

Re: Using blender models in KGL (is jfm the best option?)
I'm sorry, but why not just export the model to some well-know format, like md2 format, and then parse it on the DC side?

Re: Online video tutorials request.
So then would you give me a corrected version of my steps then? I'm only here to learn. 1) Master the C language through reading the books, stackoverflow, articles, and practice. 2) Practice more! 3) Lurk through KallistiOS samples code. 4) Write some code by yourself. Also, I would like to recomme...

Well, sad news for you, your Windows 10 system clearly stated the problem for you. Change the decompressing program or run it in compatibility mode. (right click 7z.exe -> Properties -> Run in compatiblity mode -> Select the Win7)

Re: Dreamcast 2?
Oh, please stop naming such kind of post's like that. No one ever would believe these nonsense. First of all, these "petition" is purely composed. SEGA, as a software company, would never risk again to produce something like this. Competition on console market is very risky and highly expensive busi...

Re: Star Wars Episode VII discussion [SPOILERS]
I hate this movie. Jah Jah Abrams spoiled absolutely everything for me.
Plot is dumb and stupid.
Movie is the collection of bloopers and belchings.
It is so dumb I can't even explain how much.
(Tomorrow I'll post detailed description why I hate that movie so much).

So any repair suggestions on repairing it or should I put it on craig list and hope someone will buy it as is? I like to give a useful advice, but... Unfortunately, such kind of things are very costly to repair. It's such costly that it is really easier to buy a new thing. I understand your despair...

Re: powervr2 limits
By using the cache, instead of reading from the disc, you would always read from RAM. Even if it took you a long time to find the data in the cache due to the changed order, accessing the disc is so slow in comparison (magnitudes!), that you're guaranteed to get a speedup. Of course, of course, thi...

Re: powervr2 limits
So while the DC has less memory available for a cache I can't proof my point with a slides or some other info but I recall that I've seen a diagram that shows that bigger cache sizes doesn't necessarily mean boost up. If the cache for streaming assets is bigger, one needs to read files from disc le...
