I was mainly wondering if this is normal, or if I'm doing something wrong [or if .SMDs are the problem?]. There's nothing you've done wrong. smd vs bin should not make a difference. The Quzar build you're experiencing is currently the best that DC Emulation for Genesis has to offer. It's certainly ...

Hmm. No problems with other emulator cd-r's or homebrews?? Try selecting 'SBI2Boot' as the menu type in SBInducer. (It insures a direct boot without needing the first "select A" menu.) Also, use: http://dchelp.net/sbi/files/Emus/GenesisPlusDC-gpwt-280107-Quzar.sbi in place of black aura's. Quzar's i...

Re: ZIP FILE SUPPORT???

It would save me a lot of CD-R's and possibly months of folder and renaming work. Not sure regarding the zip support, but Renamer is a very good freeware program for mass renaming files (and folders?). I've included a copy to this ol' GenesisPlusDC tool set: http://www.dcevolution.net/dsdevelopment...

Probably the case on the laser issue....you could first try using nothing but Sony 700MB CD-R's (in the yellow packaging). I've NEVER had media related issues with Sony media. If you still have trouble with a Sony burn, adjust your laser. (I've had your issue on a new dreamcast with other brands of ...

ZIP FILE SUPPORT???

I know this is an ancient thread, but does anyone know if ZIPPED .d64's are supported with DreamFrodo.0.94 ??
It would save me a lot of CD-R's and possibly months of folder and renaming work.
Thanks for your reply in advance!

Where did you find your 'clear red' mod case, which I assume you bought and just swapped shells? (If you don't mind me asking). Could you post a pic?
Impressive, Genetik! Wow.

This should do it: http://sewelldirect.com/mayflash-pal-to-ntsc-converter.asp The "x" factors would be: Can the PAL DC read the NTSC disk? anyone's opinion here?? And, the site says: Only works on the NTSC 50Hz compatible TV, auto sync TV or NTSC TV with a V-hold button Only works with PAL regions B...

You need to both property construct an image, and property burn that image in order to get your goal. I was where you're at not to long ago at all. You may be suprised at how tricky the burning part can be, even if you've burned like crazy outside of Dreamcast. For NES, I suggest this: http://dcemul...

Best bet is to walk into a best buy and demand help at the CS desk to change the shipping address on your internet order. If they say they can't help, they're full of BS...sure they can. Ask for manager, then. (I've learned being an irate customer gets you places...irate in the bold, intelligent, th...

I've tried most brands......Sony 700mb CD-R's seem the best (yellow packaging). Same goes for Sony DVD-R's. I can say I've never had problems w/ them. (Using NTSC DC, circa 2000).

What is that?? I recently bought an "S-Video" adapter cord that looks just like the standard RCA cord, but has the extra S-video out, and it doesn't work at all.

One of the main reasons the DC was overlooked by the masses is due to all the PS1 ports... Almost everyone I know thought it was basically just the same as a PS1... Only when I showed them some of the games did they realize. TechnoWolf: Commodore very rarely had their logos on any games, due to the...

How many Dreamcasts do you own? Condition? Accessories?

I saw this on the UK sister site, didn't notice it after a search here, sorry if this is already out there......here it goes: 3 NTSC DC's. All from Ebay. 2 used, and 1 sealed new in box. One in "fair condition" that has ugly-sounding loading. I'll probably give this one to my sister-in-law soon. Oth...

I can tell even as an intermediate that a lot has been cured since 06' on your new build. :D
