Best Place to Get a Replacement Controller Board

My first controller port is acting weird, compared to the other three. I posted about this problem before, but I couldn't find a solution. Let's just say, my temporary fix is an eraser applying pressure specifically onto the controller port on the inside, and that only lessens the problem by a degre...

Is there anyway of disabling 2-player mode when it comes to making your own mods? I'm thinking of making one, but the way I'm thinking about it, it wouldn't make any sense with 2-players...

EDIT: Damn it, I tried stretching out the prongs a bit to seemingly make a better connection, but damn, it just won't work. It still acts like it did before. Time for research!

I gotta buy a second DC pad, plus a second VMU (you'd think 330 blocks would be enough!), but yeah it works perfectly in all of the other ports. It's a good thing NHL 2K2 is designed with the capability to work on all of the ports. For now I'm leaving it in a certain position, and it's functioning, ...

It's funny, if there's support for the PCEngine CD-ROM in the planned Dreamcast emulator, I could finally run Snatcher. Full. Uncensored. Snatcher. (Even though the Sega CD is funnier and has the best sounding music, and is the best version overall, and it's English... and it's... I love Snatcher.)

Oh noes... DC Controller Port Problem (Just One)

I was playing NHL 2K2 the other day, and I noticed that the VMU was either going on and off, or it just didn't work. Controller was connected to the A port. I'm thinking to myself, "Sh!t, the thing's busted?! I don't think EB has anymore Dreamcasts!" Anyways, I plugged my controller into t...

Then you should have no worries, other then acquiring the Windows 98 CD and a boot disk.

I'm going to try to decipher that... Do you mean if the Windows 98 CD needs to have the same OEM number (I'm guess CD key) as your computer? Well, to put it straight as I can, if you bought a computer pre-installed with Windows 98 without either a CD or a CD Key given to you, you should shoot everyo...

- Grab a pillow - Fall asleep for a few hours - When you wake up, drink a coffee - Grab your address/telephone book. - Call every friend you have and find out if they have the Windows 98 CD. As a user of Windows 98 since it came out, it's almost rule of thumb that owning the OS absolutely requires y...

Or, if you want it to do it by yourself (sorry for the double post), I just remembered how to make your own (I'm running a dual boot Windows98/WindowsXP system, usually on XP, so I forget). Go to the Windows Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel ) - Find Add/Remove Programs and open it - O...

Well, for now, go to http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

They have boot disk images for almost every Windows OS. Download your version, then insert a floppy (preferably blank) and run the executable (it'll create the boot disk for you).

- First off, it's Windows 98, and that's the problem, but enough of that.

Go for the requisite things:
- Virus Scan (often enough)
- Windows Update

If it's not a virus, and Windows Update can't fix the problem with the patches, then Explorer may have been corrupted some how.

Quick Question: DC Freezes and Sometimes Restarts

I bought a used Dreamcast a year ago (hey, it's Christmas already), and it's been working fine until recently (two weeks or so). It's beginning to freeze frequently, only rarely ever restarting (maybe one out of 25 freezes). It's frozen up in a lot of CDRs I've burned (Selfboot Inducer CDs, almost p...
