That would be great. :) If you register an account at http://developer.berlios.de/, we can give you access to the repository.

We're still looking for 2D artists, 3D modellers and sound/music people to join the team. ;) Hey, I'm still here if you need anything. I told you guys all you had to do was ask. And we appreciate that, but it doesn't change what I just said. ;) We'd like for people to join the team and handle the g...

This is great, if I were to draw and color you guys some new characters would you use them if they were good enough? Ofcourse we would. ;) Right now the avatars are linked to a theme, but in the future, when we have network play, the player should be able to choose their own avatar (or even use a p...

ucon64 ( http://ucon64.sourceforge.net/ ) is a utility for rom files and backup hardware (for the most part). It can do things like convert roms between different formats, upload/download rom files to/from backup hardware, etc. ucon64 also has support for scrambling/descrambling Dreamcast binary fil...

Hi all. Some good news and some bad news. The good news is that MrSiggler and I are working towards 0.1.0 and we expect it to be finished Real Soon Now (tm). The bad news is that my Dreamcast is broken. It's been struggling for a few days and today it finally broke down... the good way, with smoke a...

I've personally been disappointed by "high end" brands like Sony, Philips and JVC so many times that brand names mean very little to me anymore.

According to the letter of the law I quoted earlier, a translation is a derivative work , period, and only the copyright holder can create or autorize a derivative work. I'm not sure why you reiterate this. I agree that this is implied by ? 106 when viewed seperately, and I'm not debating that. You...

There is such a thing as fair use. It doesn't apply in the case of distributing a translation of a copyrighted product, even when the files you're distributing aren't very useful without the original product. Sorry, but you're not qualified to make that determination. And neither am I. ;) These are...

There's still such a thing as fair use. There's probably no clear-cut answer to this issue unless it goes to court some day.

I agree with that. Unfortunately, you can't really ignore legality when you're working on a public project.

Yeah, me too. I never understood why a fan translation itself would be considered something illegal ? It's a derivative work. It's only legal if you have permission from the original author. In my opinion that's an oversimplification. Translations are usually provided as patches and are totally use...

No, Torin's Passage is not supported. And from the Quest for Glory series, only the EGA version of part 1 is supported. The staff ghosts don't snake, IMO. Anyway, if you're good enough to get a *** rating offline, you should be able to do alright online even without snaking. I personally don't like snaking because it hurts my hands.
