Dark Savior was excellent. You can tell a game is good when it makes a believer out of you (I HATED RPGs till I found this game and the Zelda series. i still hate FF series though.) All that damn turn based stuff, ugh. I still have vsions of Dark Savior's silver palace/temple.

The N64's version is a good example of good controls on a console IMO. The N64s controller is very similar to the DC: they both have analog sticks, they both have digital pads, neither of them have a select button, And the button amount is close (N64 10, DC 11 if you count all the digital directions...

Icculus released a Linux version of duke3d already! Its is apparently SDL, so once this ports done, porting it to DC dosent sound so hard

Its still buggy, but I suspect theyll have it fixed soon. Not bad for only 2 days work :D

I personally like DukeDC for the name, it sounds like a natural progression (or corruption if you will) of the original.

I also gave a question... I got to an area where there is a Headcrab creature (one that's attached to a scientist), it's in a glass overpass, it falls out, and out of the wall comes another... I killed them, went to the elevator (doesn't work), there is a latter, I jump but always fail... what do I...

TransfusionDC

Thank god Im back. 2 bloody months of moving, and buying parts and driving. as for this trans thing Ive never ran either nxquake or radquake with this yet, but this project is defintely NOT dead. Even if I gotta do it all myself itll work. I think neither port is mature enough for a port YET. but ev...

Allright. Tims pretty busy so hes given me a menu.c that seems to be from DP. It seems to be made for more than one mod, I checked it and it has supprt for Nehara. In order to use this, I think the Transfusion menus stuff has to be singled out, but im not sure. Hopefully u guys can figure this out. ...

Im making a dc port of Transfusion to dc, which may or may not appear in the near future. Its a recreation of Blood1s mulitplayer. It has a few redone blood2 levels in it as well. U can get the pc version here: http://www.planetblood.com/qblood

Angst: Rahz's Revenge: this is undoubtedly the most god-awful piece of software Ive ever had the misfortune to encounter. I actually like Operation Body Count better than this.

Is there a way to trick the game into thinking that there is "communication" enough so that the bots can run? as for the menu.c, Ill talk to Tim today, he isnt on right now, but when he is Ill tell him. When its fixed Ill post it here. That map loading idea using maps sounds cool. Not sure if the co...

None of this is directed at anyone. I was simply trying to get this "out there" Noone has to listen to me, its at their sole discretion. After that, I can see your point. the ports are fairly new. The suggestions ive forwarded were just that suggestions. All i originally wanted was the menus fixed. ...

Im not sure about the map loading, Ive just observed the results in glquake, since Transfusion is a standalone game, it dosent use any ID files. So when I click on run server under multiplayer(which is the menu area in question), it shows our menus style, but the maps are labled as the ID ones, and ...

Reaper, im thankful for your offer to port the engine itself, but it would be really taxing on the DC. Transfsuion uses an enhanced Darkplaces engine to run it, so typically you would be porting an engine even more taxing than Darkplaces. It may work, but itll be slow as hell. Since Transfusion work...

As it stands, Transfusion can run, just without some goodies 1. Since our code was desinged to allow a human player access to the server at any time regardless of the amount of bots playing, the maps have to be properly loaded through the menu, which dosent function correctly under glquake. Hence in...
