DreamInducer is a menu system for Dreamcast homebrew. It allows you to make customized menus using XML, can launch programs (such as emulators or games), and play DivX movies.

I tap on the touchpad with one finger for left click, two fingers for right. It took about 30 seconds for me to set that up.

Re: Yeti3D demo with PVR rendering.

I just moved into a new place, and I haven't had a chance to unpack my Dreamcast or set up the computer that I have my development tools on. I think that the last changes in the SVN repository work pretty well if you want to use it to create a game or something.

Re: Poll: Legalize Drugs?

Cocaine or heroin can be scored simply by asking anyone on a stroll down the block. Where the hell do you live? And that's a figure of speech, I know you live in New Orleans, but Jesus Christ. I don't think I'd want to live in an area where drugs were so readily available. You would be surprised ho...

Re: Bus Wars: The battles are being won.

To me atheism and science are beliefs. Believing in the big bang put your faith on heavily corroborated theories. Science doesn't have a theory as to where the matter and anti-matter came from to generate the universe. Belief in the non-existence of a deity has as much proof as the belief in said d...

Re: Poll: Legalize Drugs?

News flash: Drugs are already widely available and cheap. I could score just about anything I wanted in a few minutes if I wanted to. Figure a ten-minute drive into the city of Poughkeepsie from where I am right now, and five minutes or so until somebody asks me what I need. Hey man, no need to be ...

Re: Poll: Legalize Drugs?

Bear in mind that just as decriminalized does not mean legal, the state of a drug being legal doesn't equate to being unregulated. Exactly. Legalizing drugs would mean that the FDA could regulate drugs so you know what you're buying. I personally wouldn't buy these drugs anyway, but at least those ...

Check in the example programs that come with KOS and you should be able to get the hang of editing a makefile for your program.

Re: Man carrying assault weapon attends Obama protest

I think you might be taking it the wrong way; actually promoting execution isn't the point, nor is it necessarily a cultural norm. I'll admit that I worded that somewhat provocatively, but I don't think I'm really misrepresenting the essence of what's in the law (though the exact standards vary; a ...

Re: Man carrying assault weapon attends Obama protest

Argh. Let's keep our guns, but leave them at home for the town hall debate. Problem solved. That's a short-term solution that I can live with. I still think that the notion that we need to arm ourselves is pretty ridiculous. Why are people so afraid of their neighbors? I think that I'd have a hard ...

Re: Man carrying assault weapon attends Obama protest

You make it sound like hunting is as wreckless as driving at 90 mph. Say you get in a car accident and they have to get your possibly paralyzed/dead body out with the jaws of life. The point was that a person driving 90 mph doesn't intend to hurt anybody, but it is more likely to happen than when a...

Re: Man carrying assault weapon attends Obama protest

Why do people feel the need to walk around with guns? Gun accidents can't happen where there aren't guns, so common sense tells me that guns don't belong around people. It always falls back on the argument that "law-abiding people will abide by a new law that bans guns while the criminals they were...

Including the header files isn't enough. You also need to link with the SDL library, or you'll get that error when the linker doesn't know what SDL_Init means.

Hey, you can get the libraries at http://www.dreamcast.es We finally found some source code lost on some HDD. http://dreamcast.es/news.php?readmore=284 it is not the newest version and might have some bugs, but it works. Until Chui pops up this is the best we could find. I, as well as others, appre...

Re: Open Sonic port for Dreamcast Released

would anyone really want that source code to use it or just complain about its availability? I think that having the source would be helpful in two ways. First, it would allow people to make new programs/port existing programs that rely on Allegro, as well as compile programs such as your port of O...

Woah, one week off on vacation and you start a flame war on my port's topic LOL. Chill out guys I don't think anyone wants to be inflamatory here. Your port obviously took some work to accomplish, and I don't think anybody is trying to take away from that. The concern is over the GPL, and you've sa...

Re: Open Sonic port for Dreamcast Released

Man, I wasn't even complaining about the license, I'm totally used to stuff coming from dciberia not having sources and whatnot. The only thing I was wondering about was that this is the first time I've actually seen one say 'just build it yourself', so I was wondering how that was possible without...
