Hey that DeePsea is damn good! Back in the days I used to use a dos version of DEU, but Deepsea is much easier to use. Ill start making mod as soon as I think of something cool and original. I have a few ideas but they all use extra textures and Im not too sure whether Dreamcast will like them or no...

Well Quake wont run without the .pak files on PC or Dreamcast as they are the complete structure of the game. However if you have lots of files in the ID1 folder (like .dem files, a folder names progs, a folder named maps etc.) then you may have to put the .pak files together yourself. Its really ea...

Tyne, good luck with that, do you mean like streets of rage with a touch of 3D (if its a Quake mod). I allready have targetquake for PC which is pretty fun however it runs crap on Dreamcast.
It seems your giving us Quake fans a lot to look forward to this year. Thanks

Yeah you can put music onto the Qiuake CD, I made my own soundtrack up which is pretty cool. You have to make an audio session and a data session on the same CD. There is a tutorial on how to do it at The Farggers Place its a non selfboot version but its good enough. However... The music allways sto...

If Doom DC supports mods which Im presuming it does I might try and make a couple. Ive made about 3 maps in my life and never done anything with them because Ive never had the urge to make anything else but I play it all the time on Dreamcast now though so I might try making some stuff. DONT hold yo...

Maybe in about 5 years time somebody could go about porting Half Life. But I dont think many people will actually care and judging from how long it took Valve it would be a very big task to take on. Maybe people should try porting some more obscure pc shoot 'em ups like corridor 7 which was pretty c...

This mod is cool,

finally I can try and complete Quake! Im going to wait until it gets put into Joymenu though then the whole Quake DC package will be pretty much complete.

Im presuming it doesnt work with raptors though... :( see if aJay can sort that one out I suppose.

Yeah, just add on a small thing that will let you choose all the controls and everything will be fine, but Im not sure how easy that will be to do and if anybody can actually be bothered doing it as everybody (including myself) is much more interested in what can be done qith Quake.

you cant really say "dos type games" because Quake is a "dos type game" but so are most text based rpg's however they are totally different types of games. You could probably convert the source of that game to make it work...but you have to get the source. Oh and Season Of Sakura...isnt that hentai?...

nah, the control system for quake dc is definitly the best way you can control an fps with the dc pad. The L and R triggers for strafing woulnt be good, the placemenet on the controller, the style of the button; they just must be used for shooting!

I loved doom, I loved Quake but for some reason I never really got into Heretic and Hexen, I think it was just the medieval feel. However they should definitly be ported to DC as it wouldnt be anymore difficult than doom and it would add to the big long list we can send to Sega saying "Hey, you dump...

Yah, thanks aJay I got it working now. The main thing I was doing wrong was that I thought you had to rename every map, not just the first one. Its not all it cracked up to be anyway :(

the best thing to do would be to make a mod for quake based around the half life levels, but it wouldnt really be half life and it would just be like every other mod out there. Plus i think there is a copyright issue.

well, as far as I know you cant change the control system on Quake, ut personally the way the controller is set up is the best way of playing fps games on Dreamcast. I think looking would be too hard to using digital buttons. Maybe you should try changing the control system on unreal tournament? As ...

try some others on ajay's site. I find Minion quite interesting. Its described as "battle chess" but it plays nothing like chess. More like an RPG battle system.

Hmm, maybe somebody could create the whole of Mario 64? Nobody would ever do it but it would be great fun.
Zelda would definitly be great, but not a top down view, make it a third person view like on the N64.

It says on AJay's site that the only trouble is that most of the textures on the cars are in black and white. It seems like a bit of a difficult mod to get working because not only are the files in 2 seperate .pak's there are also map and demo files outside of the paks and an aplication to choose th...
