what happens when you watch the movie on your computer? About a third of the way does the audio go out of synch? I think it's the input video...you may need to get another copy.

I'm sure this really doesn't help you now...but, follow ZacMc's tutorial, and use the DcDivX4Dummies. It works really well. You may just have to take the avi files from the current CD and burn them on a new CD. Hope that helps a little.

I have a perfect DVD rip, and when i convert for DCDivx (using 700kb bitrate) the quality isn't that great. It's good...but not great. If i increase the bitrate...will the quality get any better? Is it worth it? Or is 700 the best i can look for right now? I also wanted to know about audio...actuall...

are you using the DivX 5.0 codec? Apparently, there has been a lot of trouble with that not converting the video properly.

Where can i find other Divx codecs...4.12 and 5 are easy to find. I need some of the earlier ones. 4.01 to be exact. Any ideas?

Ha! No, i don't get any video on my PC...but, it's funny, because when i encode in 4.12 my VirtualDub crashes. I have yet to encode a full movie with VirtualDub using 4.12 and the LAME audio. It finally worked with 5.0! I can't go back. Any other suggestions?

WOW! How many problems can one guy get?!

Ok...after a few days of trying many difference encoding settings, and making many different coasters  i've decided to ask everyone for some help/tips/etc... i reinstalled all the codecs, and followed word for word the sticky note left by Krypt_. The only thing different was i added the resize...
