I believe it was determined it has something to do with filename length...try making another rom disc with all the filenames in 8.3 format and see if that helps. As for some of your roms not appearing...well, that's been covered a million times. Make sure you have an mp3 in the proper folder, even i...

There's a program called ip.bin creator that you can use to make the ip.bin file...all you have to do is edit a text file with the proper parameters and it makes the ip.bin for you. Make the IP.BIN point towards 1ST_READ.BIN. divx.bin is the 1ST_READ.BIN for DCDIVX. You'll need to use DCSCRAM to scr...

Yet another kickass release from the DCDivx team...

Just remember, if we want to keep seeing speed increases with each release, they need more SH4 assembly coders...I'd have joined the team already if I knew the first thing about programming. :)

DCDivx news...

gottahavit posted this on the projectmayo forums yesterday... --- "Good news, I finally got some help from Divx today in resolving our Divx 5.0 compatibility issues. With the next release we will be able to support most Divx 5.0 features. We will fully support all but Quarter Pel, GMC and B-Fra...

Re: Another "Solve all" cure... or, alternatively.....

1. Most roms *Do* work... Super Mario RPG and Zombies Ate My neighbors being the few I know that don't, but I'm sure that will be fixed, as DreamSnes and its staff sure love updating better versions with improvements such as those. Zombies ate my neighbors works fine...at full speed even, using mon...

I wouldn't mind seeing releases a bit more often, that's for sure, whiners be damned. People who are whining about there not being a substantial speed increase in EVERY release probably aren't contributing anything to the scene anyway... ...and yes, a "skip to next rom" button would be use...

I think it only supports 128kbps and lower MP3s. :P I e-mailed the author about releasing the source so someone could add support for other bitrates, but he never replied. Oh well... The MP3 player in DCDivx is surprisingly compatible...I've never had it refuse to play someone. That stupid Pelican p...

I'm 99% sure VB is a platform-dependant language, meaning it's useless on anything that's not running windows.

Uh, you should probably try to become proficient in C or C++ before you go messing with any of this stuff. There's little point in someone taking the time to tell you how to set it all up when you're going to have zero clue what to do with it.

"Alpha" and "Beta" are generic terms that refer to how far along the software is...Alphas are early test versions that mostly just show proof-of-concept. Betas are also test versions, but they're closer to what the final product will be like.

For some reason, I think the frame skipping is a bit too much...but its cool! I believe the highest amount of frameskipping you'll get in DreamSNES is "4". (I *think* this means the game will display 1/5 frames). They could change that number, but it would make games that need frameskippi...

Been playing around with it for 10-15 minutes now...it's a pretty nice little collection of homebrew demos. I like the MP3 player, although it seems to choke on about half my mp3s...it doesn't seem like there's any one specific thing it won't play. It'll play some 192kbps mp3s, but not others... I'd...
