I think Pelican lets you create a temporary playlist from within the program... Unfortunately the Pelican player blows as far as compatibility...it wouldn't play half the mp3s I tried. It's definitely suspicious, but the two pics are at different camera angles and the Neo DC pic has two shelves on the right, different carpet, etc. It may just be the same guy too. Who knows? Use EAC (Exact Audio Copy) to rip...preferably in secure mode (which is much slow than burst mode, but ensures there are no skips/pops/etc. Then use the LAME codec to encode...there's an excellent front-end for it called RazorLAME. Easy as pie. You can also use DCDIVX to play mp3s...they load really...
