Well worth a burn in my opinion...didn't have any major issues with the games I tried. Might be worth waiting another day or two to see if another release comes out, though.

Just hit play after you're done fast-forwarding...it should resume at the proper spot within 10-20 seconds.

I think Pelican lets you create a temporary playlist from within the program... Unfortunately the Pelican player blows as far as compatibility...it wouldn't play half the mp3s I tried. DCDivx has been able to handle every single mp3 I've tried. Unfortunately it really doesn't support any kind of pla...

Everything I've tried has worked great...

There are some minor sound issues with some GBC games, but it's really not that bad. I would guess the next version will probably have perfect sound.

It's definitely suspicious, but the two pics are at different camera angles and the Neo DC pic has two shelves on the right, different carpet, etc. It may just be the same guy too. Who knows? No, just look at the positions of the wires that are in both pics...they're in the exact same place. I find...

I'd hold off on encoding in 5.x until they fix the bugs (purple artifacts, etc)

Give Python a try...it's a nice, easy to understand language that will teach you concepts you can apply towards like, C++ and such.

I tried out one of the MAME ports (the one that only supports limited drivers) and didn't have too much luck. I'm hoping the new MAME port that uses NesterDC code will be better... :)

If we're talking about that game where a baby mario rides around on Yoshi, yes, it does work, albeit slowly.

Hmmm...that's interesting. I might have to try that out on a few games and see if it makes any difference.

Use EAC (Exact Audio Copy) to rip...preferably in secure mode (which is much slow than burst mode, but ensures there are no skips/pops/etc. Then use the LAME codec to encode...there's an excellent front-end for it called RazorLAME. Easy as pie. You can also use DCDIVX to play mp3s...they load really...

The sample rate is 11025 as it is...it really wouldn't be desirable to make it any lower. If we get some significant speed gains in the next few versions, maybe they'll add an option to use a HIGHER sample rate. But really, it all depends.

http://www.boob.co.uk/ Yes, I have recovered another part of the cd, this time i've released the source code to SMSPlus!, binary versions were removed from this site due to GPL violations with some MAME code, hopefully we'll see it back up soon! For those who don't know SMSPlus! is a port of Charles...
