Something tells me all these score bugs are related...maybe the game is waiting for some signal from the emulator to stop counting, but it's not receiving it. Dunno why it's affecting some games, but not others.

I wouldn't press your luck...I doubt it was just a random fluke that it blew the resistor the first time. At the very *least* I'd take another look at the soldering and make sure there are no shorts/bridged points, etc...

SNES roms are bigger than NES roms. It takes longer to load a 3 meg file than a 512k file.

There's a big difference between whining and making a bug report...how else is the DreamSNES team supposed to find out about the bugs if we don't report them? There are far too many games for them to playtest...

is nesterDC still being worked on? There hasn't been a daily release in a week or two. Is it considered complete, or is he just taking a break for a while?

Tip: If you have a keyboard, try pressing buttons. :-) :D Well, I found the % counter...are there any other keys enabled in the release build? I realize it's probably there for internal use only, but it updates too rapidly to get a good general speed percentage. A counter that displays an average %...

Thanks for the replies...any way of objectively measuring speed would be useful...it's hard to tell how much a speed increase we're getting between versions, and things are pretty subjective on the compatibility lists. I think Super Mario World is running almost perfect now, while some people say it...

Any chance you could add some scripts for creating rom discs?

Has there been any news about the MAME thing? I remember reading on the frontpage that someone was working on optimising it using code from NesterDC, but I haven't heard anything since...

The combination of a FPS counter and a manual frameskip option (maybe with an "AUTO" setting, as is the default right now) would allow people to more accurately guage speed increases as new versions come out...right now it's pretty subjective. Really, any simple way to benchmark speed woul...

Wicked Wizard wrote: is MarioWorld realy 100%
It's close...I'd say 85% with stereo sound, probably 95% with mono. Very playable...

Haven't tried any of the others except for Contra 3, which was still kinda "iffy".

Since you're here and answering questions, would it be possible to get an option to change the sound sampling rate? Would that provide a performance boost? Thanks for addressing the transparency issue...although I'd still like to see the option re-enabled... Any chance of a manual-frameskip option? ...

Anyone noticed a weird problem with resetting? I'm hoping it's not my dreamcast...it seems like DreamSNES resets randomly with this version...I haven't had it happen during actual gameplay, just fiddling around with the menus.

I definitely noticed a speed improvement over v0.95...Super Mario World seems to be pretty close to full speed (90-95%) with mono sound, and pretty good (85-90%) even with stereo sound. Noticed some improvements in Super Punch-Out too... Unfortunately Contra 3 still seems to be having problems (way ...

Dreamcast is far too slow to emulate the arcade version of MK2...I believe it takes at least 700-800mhz CPU to run it at full speed in MAME.

Just play the SNES port on DreamSNES.

Yeah, personally I'd like to see DreamSNES get some more tweaking options while they're working on speeding up the emulation... -Adjustable frameskip (Seems like DreamSNES has auto frameskip...I'd rather control it myself...some people want more speed...some people want smoother animation) -Adjustab...

U sure the snes didn't have analogue control.......IM POSITIVE that i saw arcade stick type controllers which aren't exactly the same but there MUST have been one analogue controller on the Snes or Genesis Well, the fact that a controller has an arcade style joystick doesn't mean that it's analogue...
