Re: Internet speed question

Has Comcast launched a campaign for this to get people to upgrade? I get a phone call and an letter every week about how my modem is unsupported but none of the people on the phone can describe to me what specifically is unsupported. I have the cheapest plan through them and I can online game with n...

Re: So....Destiny

I agree with you, and the reviews 100%. I keep on going back to it. I was about 90% through Last of Us Remastered for the first time. I was totally engrossed in the story. It sparked really strong emotions in me unlike any other game. But then Destiny came out and it felt like a chore to pop in Last...

Re: I saw Bruce Springsteen!!

I got free tickets to the labor day concert last year in Philadelphia. I thought maybe seeing him live would be exactly what I needed to finally like Bruce's music... It didn't work. Although I was impressed by how long he played.

Re: So whats new with you?

Been working at a large finance company coming up on 4 years. I started taking client phone calls, and now doing software testing for the accounting department. I'm trying to make a move to IT. I'm finishing up a master's at Penn State in Information Science. Been seeing a girl for about 4 months no...

Re: Annoyed with Pain management docs and DEA pressure..rant

I have a herniated disc. Totally sucks. I did it helping my dad move. I did about 12 weeks of serious physical therapy. It helped quite a bit, but I went on one 10 minute bike ride and a few bunny hops later I reversed all the work I did. Then I got some steroid injections and that helped a lot! My ...

Re: Raspberry Pi

I have one, but I haven't had time to use it. I've been real busy with school and work.

As far as ideas, I had visions of running through the simpler tutorials and spinning those into a pinball machine. It seems feasible.

This is awesome too:

Re: Windows 8?

I installed off an upgrade and was having a lot of problems. They seemed to get worse after I installed a Start menu replacement, but I can't be sure that was the reason. Also boot times were REALLY bad. Then I did a fresh install. Boot times are sick, even from a full shut down its just a few secon...

Re: Building a new rig, need some feedback

Thanks for the opinions guys. I really like the mini-ITX boards, but not 100% hooked on Atom. I'm liking Code-Red's second build. I think I'm going to wait it out though until cyber Monday and try to score a deal.

Re: Wii-U Pre-orders

I guess I wasn't quick enough because the GameStop dude told me they maxed out on preorders but he also said for the first time ever GameStop is doing a waitlist and I'm #1 on that. I don't feel like the launch titles are that underwhelimg. I think XBox 360 was worse.

Re: Barcade - Great place to drink and play classic games

Gigantic Jenga! That's awesome! I went back last Friday night and was surprised by the amount of what seemed to be single girls there, or they could have possibly been ditched by their men as soon as they arrived because that's what we did with the three gals we rolled in with, haha. I did catch a c...

Barcade - Great place to drink and play classic games

I went to a sweet bar last weekend in Philly. Besides having a top notch beer selection, they had like 30 classic games at 25 cents a play. There were even 2 chicks in there at 1:30AM. They also got spots in NYC and New Jersey. Thought I'd toss that out there.

Re: Hours put in for grad school

I'm in my 2nd grad class in a field completely unrelated to my undergrad major. I'm probably at a 2:1 ratio of out of class to in class time. I feel like that is probably more than most people I've encountered so far but I haven't be there long. Also I go to a Penn State campus for working adults lo...

Yes we do. Thanks for the suggestion! I just found a few articles that may be suitable. This is probably my first class where I had to do real research and was not aware of this resource.
