Right after the first gym you can go to the world trade centre (or whatever) and look for any pokeyman you've seen ingame or put something of your own up for trade for any pokeyman youve seen ingame - you actually send it off onto the interwebs and if someone wants the tarde youre asking for next ti...

Pokemon Diamond / Pearl

Anyone else buy this?

WiFi trading = awesome, and cunningly Nintendo have made it so that really crappy pokemans from different regions have their own collectability, so even though the games been out in Japan for months they're gagging to get my english language Magikarps :guffaw:

You are at least aware that there were home consoles prior to the Xbox / Playstation 2 / Gamecube aren't you?

Wiimote turned sideways = the best for NES and TG16 games
Wavebird = the best for N64 games
Classic Controller = the best for SNES and Megadrive games

Personally I think the Wii bubble will burst eventually. I think you're wrong and Wii will become the best selling home console 'this gen' but only time will tell. On Topic: IGN is (surpise) wrong. It was a mistranslation that went from Japanese original -> German fansite -> English and ended up be...

Dawn of Sorrow is actually harder than Portrait of Ruin but sticks to the SOTN formula much closer - plus you can level up in it, which always helps if you dont mind the mmorpg-style grind of it all (hey, you're an everquest player, Im sure you dont :P). It also has lots of grinding to get 'souls' f...

Is it just the cody version?
Yup. I wouldn't recommend this, other than it and Super Mario World were the first SNES games I ever bought, so I have a fondness for it.

Mystical Ninja is as good as you remember it btw USers.

And as for the sex vs. violence debate: I've always been of the opinion that the US has that one ass-backwards. Sex is a natural part of life, and is an act of love and pleasure, whereas mutilation is an act of pain and violence, and is the destruction of life. Which do *you* think should be more a...

Re: Sony features headless goat as part of GoW2 advert

I never said that, I've no problem with either but I find that you (as in Europe in general) find that graphical depictions of viscera need to be censored. Conversely we (as in Europe) find that the US has more of a problem with Janet Jackson showing her taped up titties on the superbowl than graph...

So you think graphic depictions of viscera are equivalent, or less offensive, than the human body?

If Nintendo are going shopping for more studios, I'd imagine the following would be likely potential studios to acquire: Level 5 (RPG supremos) Camelot (Who work exclusively on PC MMOs at the moment, sadly) Flagship (Jointly funded by Capcom and Sega, Sega are liekly to be happy to lose ownership gi...

It was announced to be an 'isometric action rpg', which had been stripped down into 10 levels with no 'outdoor' sections, so just dungeons. The point is moot anyway, as its vanished off of Ubisofts release schedules and is likely canned. If it does ever come out I guess I get to say "I told you...

But a PSP version is okay? :? The PSP version is an isometric diablo clone. It's hardly the same thing, and when people ask about a port of Oblivion for the Wii, they want whats described above - a first person action RPG with controlls mapped for sword swinging etc, not a crappy isometric dungeon ...

Very interesting. I thought Nintendos days of having second parties were gone, as all of their previous second parties have either been sold off or fully bought out to become a first party. Nintendo have also recently been shedding 'external' devcos in favour of funding new startups. I guess Day Of ...

I haven't played it, but have heard nothing but good things about it.

I'm quite tempted, but I think I'll wait a month and see how Scarface turns out before makign a decision.

Scarface has Wiimote controlled chainsaw action.

EDIT: Obligatory "you should buy Excite Truck" addendum.

Which I stand by as being needed. Personal attacks on other members are allowed in sigs now? EDIT: 8 posts in a row now entir...

So... those sig limits aren't even rounded to the nearest k, they're measured in bytes?

Wow. That's really, really petty.
Maybe want to make those rules explicitly clear, wouldn't want people to feel picked on or anything, huh?
