Well I'm feeling futile at the moment. Divx at these rates would be great. But I finally found a good playback rate for gyplay, sorta late and futile tho... I've been watching some videos I recorded off of a fuzzy station. I set them up to the new standard I've come up with, and they played back bet...

You know what? I'm with Magneto Man on this one. I'm sick and tired of these stoopid assed copyright laws. If I go out and buy a dvd, I should be able to do anything I want with it short of making a copy and giving it to someone who doesn't own that particular title. It is incredibly easy to rip dvd...

So there's an illegal movie production kit out, eh? Well can't have any of that, I've noticed this site does its best to stay legal. Kind of a drag, and i know better than to ask for illegal stuff here. Nyarlathotep's point about vcd settings is pretty much the right idea for now. Bouncer, do you ha...

Clearing something up (Gyplay related)

I just saw a topic get closed due to some inaccurate wordings. The movie project The Bouncer and I have been working on is based around freeware, non-sega-owned programs. DC Knucklehead used the phrase dc movie creation kit or somethin and one of the mods freaked out. The software we are using is ba...

Must say, I'm pretty interested in any new audio format. I've been using Radium MP3 for quite some time now, and while it's better than a gig of uncompressed pcm, it's time for something a little more powerful in the compression department. Especially for those of us who refuse to settle for divx mo...

Wow, our GYPLAY post is dying. Nooooo! PC is still dead, starting a project in school for computer programming as an exuse to use the t1 line to get my files and do new test discs. Start on that tomorrow. Other than that, I could really use a lil buddy to help me out on some of this stuff, and also ...

To the guy who wanted louder audio: Are you familiar with the programs tmpeg, virtual dub, and the vfapi reader? If so, one way i can think of is this: Load up tmpeg, and get your mpeg 1 file selected as an audio source. Set the video box to blank, but make sure the settings area to the right has au...

Whaddaya mean don't use memorex cdr's? I always buy 80 minute 700 meg memorexes by the 50 spindle, they only screw up when i'm making a mistake. Memorex and tdk are damn good media, but tdk is heavy on the $$$. Maxells are alright, and I will never buy another sony cdr again.

Well some bad news. Today the cpu on my machine burned up, or broke or something, goddamn anthalons. Gonna try and just get the repair money from the warranty co. and about 200 bucks and drop in a p4 processor with a tricked out cooling system, but i'll be busy backing up old data and may wait a lil...

It wasn't an upgrade, it was a white jap sega saturn that had a video cd board built into it (DOH!). You wouldn't be lookin to sell your machine or anyparts would you? It's damn near impossible to find parts here in the us.

Well gotta go, happy new year.

See ya,

I'll have to look into that package, but do they have a NERO alternative? I really really really hate disc juggler, and make it a point to rarely use images since i've never had good luck with them. Other than that, been busy recording my cds onto my computer, got an mp3 cd player for x-mas, so putt...

Alright, good luck with them. I'll do a new disc before break ends, methinks. Now I'm runnin' into a bug where so long as I'm burning gyplay with self boot buddy and it's the first disc i've burned since the computer's been on, it'll go through, but the rest of the time, it locks up with another one...

GYPPLAY NTSC TEST ARRAY ONE

Figured out the bug i was running into when burning gyplay discs, you need to use the ip.bin file found in the ini toolkit for self boot buddy, or else things don't work, so now i'm 1-4. For the files I had on: ASF: FAILED DCVCD (1.00 mbit, 352x240, 29.97 fps, IBBP) - PASSED VBR VCD TESTS 480x480 AN...

Oh and two more things. First, DO NOT USE easy cd creator with dreamcast stuff, i haven't seen five but 4 sucked at this stuff, so i'd just stick to programs like cd record and self boot buddy (essentially a gui for cdrecord), and i say this having had shitty luck with images and rom discs and being...

Just score a copy of self boot buddy from the needed files section and get the new release of dreamsnes. Get the ini tool pack while your at it. Follow the directions (unzip self boot buddy, and extract the ini toolkit to a folder in that directory). Run self boot buddy, select the self boot buddy o...

Still haven't put together a working gyplay disc, currently 0-2, anybody have this problem: When creating a disc with self-boot buddy, it locks up, gives what looks like an underrun error? THis is wierd cus it only effects gyplay, nesterdc and dreamsnes all work fine. Haven't had buffer underrun err...

What settins did you use to get them to play fine? Also, you may want to consider that, being from london ,as i stereotypically assume all englanders are (insert flame i can already feel here), the files you were playing were probably 25 fps pal, not 29.97 fps ntsc. I really don't know and i'm not t...
