Re: Before this forum dies:

Not sure why, but I got a random urge to visit for the first time in years. It's neat that people are still here, but makes me sad. Like going back to a place you loved to find a ghost town... :|

Re: What are you playing or looking forward to?

I've been playing Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption with some friends. It's old and the storytelling is cumbersome, but I like the atmosphere more than NWN. I just started playing Crysis Warhead, but I probably won't finish it...just like I didn't finish Crysis. I still play TF2 every once in a w...

Working, tennis (I'm on three teams this season), and spending what little time is left with friends and playing games.

Wow! I'm really glad this happened. I hadn't looked at the .com main page in years, due to the adverts. This is the first time I've been excited about the scene in a looooong time. Good job guys. 8-)

Re: Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection

I'm probably going to get this. I already have all of the games, but they're spread out all over creation. I have MGS2 Substance on Xbox (which isn't plugged in at the moment), and I don't have MGS3 Subsistence...just regular MGS3. Lord only knows where my copy of MGS went. Having MGS 1, 2, and 3 in...

Re: Old games that would make great remakes?

Interstate '76 (I think it would be cool if the levels were slightly more populated than the original, and if you had the ability to get out of the car. Sort of a 70's themed Grand Theft Twisted Metal in the desert.) Double Dragon Strider Silkworm (Not sure how this would work...but I've been waitin...

Re: Game of the Year 2007: your choices

I haven't played many games this year, but Mario Galaxy is the best thing I've played. Hate to hijack the thread, but how is the PC version of Bioshock? It looks like a neat game. Will my Geforce 8500 handle it well? I played Bioshock on PC, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I don't know how well it wo...

It's exactly like TrackIR, only much less expensive.

Re: Building a Gaming Computer....

A couple of months ago I built a gaming machine for about $940. I'm using XP, so I don't know how it performs with Vista, but I haven't had any troubles playing anything on the highest settings DirectX9 will allow. I haven't tried Oblivion, but I've played Bioshock, Crysis SP Demo, and Gears of War,...

Re: Wii Virtual Console Releases Thread

Yep. The lack of clear direction was the reason I disliked Simon's Quest. Without a guide, you could easily walk around forever and never figure out what you're supposed to do. I didn't mind the day/night cycle, and I thought the controls were good. Not knowing where to go was pretty frustrating. I'...

Re: Hardest Game You Have Ever Played?

This one's easy. It's a tie between Battletoads and the first TMNT for NES. I never beat either. I got to the Technodrome on TMNT, but couldn't find Shredder. Without cheating in Battletoads, I was able to get to the level where the swirly thing chases you. Apparently the last level is after that? I...

Re: Digital Camera

I just picked up a Canon Powershot A560 with a 1GB SD card for $140 shipped from Newegg. Nice little camera for the money. Haven't had an opportunity to really use it, though. I was using a Kodak Easyshare piece of shit 2MP camera, and I took some pretty darn good pictures with it, so I imagine I'll...

Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!

I'm having a shindig at my apartment tonight. It's really my girlfriend's party, but I should have a fair number of my friends over. We'll probably hang out for a few hours, and then go downtown and see what's going on there. This year has been frustrating in the costume department catagory. I know ...

I really want to play this game, but I don't have access to a 360. My only hope (for now) is that it might eventually come to PC...(doubt it)

Re: Wii Virtual Console Releases Thread

Hopefuly Castlevania III won't be too far off. I like Simon's Quest, but it's my least favorite of the NES Castlevania games. I never finished it without the use of codes, so I might pick it up and do a legitimate play-through.

Re: Best Zelda?

I'm not a huge Zelda fan. I enjoy the games, but I just don't have the attention span for epic adventure games. Twilight Princess is the only Zelda game I've finished, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Sooo...my vote goes to TP.
