I've opened it up and closed it up and it still doesn't work.
Looks like I'll have to get a new one. The parts for it seem too expensive to bother when you can get a brand new one. Still, if anyone has any ideas........

I have the exact same problem. I've repaired my dreamcast twice before - once because it kept resetting and twice because the resistor on the controller port blew.
