Never mind - I found the problem.. I put an unsupported flag in the linker.

Now there's more stupid linker errors - I'll figure this out. :?

Thanks for the offer to help though BA - If I need help again, I'll pop my head in here. :)

SDL issues

I'm moving my Laser emu over from Allegro to SDL. I decided to start with the first SI-only version so I could get the hang of it.. I got it to where it looks to me it should be fine, but now all I get is: C:\Dev-Cpp\Makefile.win [Build Error] [Project1.exe] Error 1 I'm at my wits end here, I'll pos...

The 8080 would be a stepping stone for the Z80 as well, as the 8080 is it's older cousin - and shares some instructions with it. You could build upon the 8080 emu once it works, and gradually add more instructions to beef it up to the Z80. The best thing to do would be to make an emulator that runs ...

A Z80 emulator in SH4 assembly would definately be just the excuse I need to teach myself SH4 asm. Given my familiarity with the Z80 from Laser, it seems plausible. I think I'm going to put my projects on hold, and completely immerse myself in this...

Genesis Plus / DC - it runs many games better than the Smash Pack rip, albeit without sound and music.

BaldMonk - same here. It just gets to the part where she says 'I know someone around here who can fix anything' then it hangs.

Yeah, use the version from consolevision. It is much more stable. The bin is scrambled so it shouldn't be to hard to get to boot.

I have yet to update sourceforge - I forgot all about it actually.

I'll do that today.

I can't express my enthusiasm for this release enough, so although I already gave praise at Consolevision, I'll do it again here.

I'm so thrilled, I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on this. This is like Christmas.

Zelda 2 works fine for me. You probably have a corrupt ROM. Sometimes some emulators are more picky over ROMs than others.

Try using GoodNES to validate your ROM.

Here is my post from the IMRTech forums. It contains the answers to almost every question you might have: Any GUI friendly release of Dream'N'Play - which I'm lovingly calling it at the moment :P - will be far down the line. I'm planning on having it fully featured, with a GUI that handles everythin...

MetaFox - Collaboration... Good idea. When I have something worthy of collaboration, I'll show it to you. My main loop and display code is fairly fast, and the emulator did speed up a bit when I re-wrote it to use the PVR properly. Using direct framebuffer access was slow compared to DMA transfers ...

It'll be a while before it'll be good enough to make games efficiently, but I'll be sure that in the first release you can definately make a game. I'm making a game right now using it as a matter of fact. As soon as I'm confident that it's worth a release, I'll pop it up at Consolevision. Hopefully ...

Indeed. :D

Two new Genesis projects in a short amount of time, one with a release.

I can't wait to see what I can learn from these other coders. I always prefer collaboration over competition.
