Re: VC/DC version 0.1a released.

I know there are a few people interested in seeing a new release. Yes . :) Oh yes, there are! That's good to know! :-) I'm going to do my best to get something out fairly soon. I haven't managed to work in everything that I wanted to include, but I'm much happier with the playback quality that I'm ...

Re: uDCDivx

Out of curiosity, was the source code for uDCDivX ever released? If so does anyone have a link to it?

I finally got around to burning this app. I ran some tests with some anime VCDs I made awhile back. I have to say great work so far. I think this player has the potential to be a fully functiong VCD player. The audio was very skippy. I can't wait for the next version, keep up the good work

Wow. The emulator is looking great. I'm glad to see that Chui is working on so many emulators for Dreamcast. The more developers the better. Homebrew has kept my Dreamcast in use and I'm glad to see that in 2006 the system still has developement by hobbyist.

Good luck with the project guys.

What is the point of arguing the performance of an ALPHA version of a new emulator? I think it is great that there is an active SNES emulator project. Especially since DreamSNES has not seen any life in recent days. Chui, good luck with this project! You've got a great project going, I'd love to see...

N64 emulation on the psp vs the DC is sort of a toss up. On one hand, once could write a low level recompiler to emulate the N64's processor which is similar in many ways. On the other hand, the psp has no graphics hardware, whereas the Dreamcast would be able to emulate the video of the N64 very w...

Sorry, I can't test it for you. I didn't bring my Dreamcast to college with me today. So I'm out a DC too haha.

Just two passes and a final video size of 5500kbytes. None of the features used alter the bitstream, so there shouldn't be a problem. Could you please try 2.avi? It doesn't work either. You're obviously doing something wrong with the encoding, or that XviD isn't supported by uDCDivX. and get a Drea...

What kind of settings are you making these video files with? DcDivX supports 1 to 1000 kbps (1000 if you know what you're doing). 4000 will not cut it at all. http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/3476/vidinspect2bo.jpg Here is the VirtualDub File Information: http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/2137/vd...

I gave it a test. It did not load up in uDCDivX. Just hung at the black screen of death.

Thanks for the testing, you did a very thorough job. I can't do it myself because I don't have a Dreamcast right now, but even if I had one, the more people testing the better, right? In any case, there should be no reason why version number would make a difference. Once some more people confirm yo...

Here are my results: Video 1: Did not load in uDCDivX 0.1, just hung for awhile at a black screen. Nor does it work in DCDivX Beta 3. In DC Movie Player it was very choppy, skippy audio. Video 2: Didn't load in uDCDivX 0.1, just hung at the black screen. Less choppy in DC Movie Player, A/V sync issu...

Around 1998, Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past on SNES9x. It was slow as all hell on my 100 MHz Compaq computer. I was in 7th grade... good times. The only reason I was attracted to emulation was because of Click n Play Zelda 3 clones.
