Well, whatever you choose to do is great. Even if I don't decide to use your design as the title screen, it will be really easy to make your own version of the disc with whatever title screen you want (ala NesterDC).

Your title page looks good, but also looks quite a bit like the Kosmos game cover. If we could get away with it, I could definitely use that. Thanks for your help, you're the first to offer it!

In response to my earlier post, I was referring to the situation now, that you would most likely be able to open the source to the pubic without fear of further litigation from Sony. Obviously, opening the source wouldn't have stopped a legal situation that was already in progress.
Yeah, bleem is dead. DC too. But just because it would be provided free would not prevent any legal consequences.... which is a pretty good reason to start with :)
Not to be argumentative, but I've never heard of Sony giving hassle to any of the open source emus... I don't see how S...

The textures are currently stored in Jpeg files. They're stored kind of strangely, so I can send a sample as a template to help you make your textures compatible. Here are the textures I know that I will need: Terrain Textures (256 x 256 each) - -Hills (Brick Production) -Meadows (Sheep Production) ...

Yeah, I have both the North American versions of "Cities and Knights" and "Seafarers". I would like to expand the game to include these addons and stuff, but I'm going to see how well recieved the 4P normal Settlers/Siedlers game is before I look at doing the other games. Once th...

burner: Thanks for the complement man! You always were one of the coolest people in the scene, IMHO. You've started doing DC coding since last year, haven't you? At last, now that I'm finishing school so maybe folks can expect to see more good stuff from me (at least more regularly) :D Zoid: Yeah, I...

Hey Everybody, Thanks for the positive response... I'm glad to hear that some of the oldschool crew is still around, still remember the glory days of FrNES vs. NesterDC. Reaper: The menu was written using KOS, just using the framebuffer originally, but I ported it to the PVR when we figured out how ...

Hey Skater_dusto, Yeah, I'm still kickin' (although I haven't really had enough time to do any significant hobby coding in the last year), but I'm hoping to be done my degree in the next month or so. I'm really glad that you had some fun with FrNES, it really makes me feel good to hear that there ar...

Yeah... I haven't updated FrNES in over a year now.. I was hoping someone would fully reverse the DSP in the DC by now, which would help the sound emulation issue considerably. Anyways, I may do an update to FrNES someday, but I have a game project that's gonna be built first.

I wish I still had the chat + private message logs from that fateful night on IRC, last year, where I figured out in about 5 minutes that he was a fraud. They were actually pretty funny... Now he wants people to buy BBA's from him (and he apparently gets $5 profit a pop) so that they can play N64 ga...

The code for the FrNES emulator is relatively well documented because both myself and the coder of the PSX version were sticklers for comments. I found the source easy to learn to read as FrNES was my first emulator. Nester's source is good too, but because it's a more mature project it's a little m...

There's some tutorials here, that I used when I was learning to program the Win32 API. If you use these (alongside the MSDN knowledgebase, and a fairly thorough knowledge of C/C++ coding and debugging) you shouldn't have too much problems creating real Win32 apps. http://www.relisoft.com These tutor...

I may be wrong but I think the "long long int" won't work because the DC doesn't have any 64 bit multipurpose registers, and so, the #ifdefs for building the compiler will probably not allow 64 bit integer datatypes to be defined. I'm not a GCC master or anything, but this makes sense from...

Hi there, An easy way to do this (if upmost speed is not required) would be to build a struct with 2 uint32's in it like so: struct uint64 { uint32 high; uint32 low; }; and write functions to do all the arithmetic and other operations on them (add64 (uint64 LHS, uint64 RHS) etc.). I know there are b...

Technically speaking, an N64 emulator capable of playing GoldenEye is pretty much impossible. An N64 emulator capable of playing 1st gen games (8MB roms and under) is very much feasible :D
