The program requires SSE? How can it require SSE when it was designed for a Pentium 3 or lower :)
Does BOCHS require SSE2? Cause my CPU has only SSE1

I need a Pentium 4 emulator or tricker for AthlonXP machine
I'm running Win98 SE on an AthlonXP machine, but a certain program has a built-in check that it won't install on an Athlon machine, only if it detects a Pentium processor! This program was made before even the good ol' Athlon was released,so it was a measure to prevent installing on systems with AMD K...

Hey Scherzo, long time no see. I've been away from the DCEmu scene for more than a year,I believe many of you thought I left the DCEmu scene forever :) No,I haven't and now I'm returning with full force.I really miss the good old DC emu days when there was a lot of activity and great new emus. But,it...

How to run 3DMark99 Max on WinXP?
How to run 3D Mark 99 Max on WinXP? It requires DirectX 6.1 installed and when started,it gives a me a warning message to install DX6.1 or later...and I have DX 9.0c. Is there a DirectX "emulator" that will fool Windows thinking it has DX6.1 installed and enable this app to run? I must see...

Using UDP transfer protocol instead of plain ol' TCP can reduce the latency greatly, provided both the server and the client support it. 56k emulator netplay on the DC is a very important feature that must be done (99% of all DC users have 33.6 or 56k modems, not BBAs) and it will bring new fresh life...

Well,Opera doesn't display well those pages I visit often.(some French emu sites) and it just repeats pages again as a new frame inside the same window, instead of linking me to the download section :( Also,I noticed that Opera's download manager also sucks,as the one in Firefox. When you resume the ...

I noticed that in Firefox. Firefox stresses the CPU badly for about 1 to 1.5 seconds when loading pages with JAVASCRIPT-based content. Just open that forbidden *EDIT* page which uses loads of Javascript, show those news from the previous day and you'll see what I mean :) Really stressing the CPU over...

Xylene,you got those 415kB/s with a 56k modem or with a T1/1Mbps cable/DSL?
I'm curious what speeds can you get with a crap 33.6/56k dialup modem, not with broadband.

Freakin' 35kB/sec constant download with a 56k modem!
This is really nutz. It makes my 56k modem breeze at ADSL speeds. Just go and download this test file: ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/pub/test64 and see what average download speed you can get :) ...and then use your ADSL/DSL/Cable modem and compare the speed to your 56k lol the 56k is a winner just downl...
