back to the topic, There is some kind of 007 mod for quake 2, (you can find it under the mods section at planetquake.com) But it looks like its just a DM mod, not that that would be a bad thing, maybe once the Quake 2 conversion gets a bit better. I think Goldeneye is a great game, and I still play ...

Quake 2 available on budget
This didnt really seem worth starting a new topic for, but I couldnt find the one relating to the new versions of Quake/Quake2/Hexen2. Well Quake 2 has been released on budget for less than ?10, so for those who dont own this when the DC Version gets released there is no excuse! Quake 2 was game of ...

well, I think the Quake conversion is unlikley to better the Titanium Studios version, But Quake 2 would be great, even if it is only in software (lets hope we get a GL version tho!) Also Hexen 2 is a good game, that I bought but never really played. It would be nice to play that on DC! This is the ...

yada yada yada... evey so often someone comes over and says this stuff... Didnt ID write to the site and say that so long as it was only distributed with the shareware paks they didn't mind? Plus this site is *very* legal-consious, believe me, and if there was something here that shouldnt be then th...

I've not really used the sfd player, but I assume it is the format that videos are in, in games. Except for Headhunter, which is Mpeg 4. This looks like a pretty good quality playback, and I was wondering if there is any way to reproduce it (other than DcDivX). My other question is with regards to t...

hey, dont decrease your frame rate, it might look ok if its an anime, but it looks pretty choppy on normal films, 700 kbs is ok, so long as the resolution is not too large. If its a wide screen movie, crop of any black you have and encode at 352x176, but if you want it fullscreen use 320x240. Also u...

Hi, Ive been thinking about this. Correct me if Im wrong, but for any given bitrate, the lower the framerate, the higher the picture quality. For example: A video encoded at 720kbs at 15 fps would be (720/15) =48kb per frame which would be equal to A video encoded at 1200kbs at 25 fps (1200/25) = 48...

I have tried it a bit more now, It seems to be *very* resolution-sensative, that is, it will play badly on not very high resolutions. I got it to play a 12 minuite clip ok, except for a short pause at the beginning, in a resolution of 320x160, at 50kbs. This doesnt mean its a useless codec, in fact ...

I have tried the Vp3 codec on DcDivX, and I didnt really get a very good performance. I encoded an 8 minuite clip directly from a dvd, in a res of 352x176, and 40kbs mono mp3 sound, I encoded the same clip at 35, 40, and 50kbs. At 40 and 50 the video output would freeze roughly every minuite, Im gue...

Quake was ported by a team of profesonal coders, Doom was ported by 2 members of the DCDev scene in their spare time. I think the graphics are ok, and there are some nice filter options in the video menu. Also Quake is a Polygon 3D game, and apparently the DC handles 3D much better than 2D. Anyway i...

Ok, Im sorry to keep on about this but this is what I want to try and do: Play the intro movie of a dvd in DivX using DI's option of intro movies, then skip the Dream Inducer menu, and automaticly load DCDiVX (which could have a customised theme). Basicly making a Dreamcast disc as much like a DVD a...

I fixed em... twice actually because the first time it wasnt quite right. And also adjusted a couple of the windows sizes, to fit better and took the buttons off the DivX menu, because I decidedthey looked dumb, and everyone know how to control it by now. Anyway thanks for letting me know, Im glad y...

To the people who couldnt get the images to work, I had the same problem, I even made my own image and that didnt work, Im not sure why, but I got it to work by adding the unscambled bin (icluded with the plain files) into Dream Inducer. I had the same problem with I think beta 1 too. Anyway maybe 0...

Ok, I've tried them now, and for the most part they worked, except that the cursor was a little larger than the box in DcDivX, and the theme looked a little too dark with Dream Inducer, so I have modified the images, and re-uploaded them, so if you dowloaded them before this message was here you pro...
