Re: a couple new dreamcast designs

darc, I was hoping you'd respond since I know you've been here for (checks calendar) decades. How much longer until we are wheeled into the retirement home  Thanks for appreciating my old username, triggering a smirk or a chuckle was the intent all along.

Re: DC2, XDCX, and Segendo Dreamcast

Hello, I'm researching the dreamcast mods that were the original topic of this thread. It includes dreamcasts modded to look like an xbox, gamecube and PS2. If you have any information about them, please post it here or PM me. I'm working on a writeup on these and am looking to add to what I've alre...

Re:

I prefer designs that are real. I know that you are someone who has not logged into the forum for almost 20 years, but guess what... ITS TOTALLY REAL! 2023 BABY! https://i.imgur.com/GZFUsHV.jpg I'm currently researching these mods (there is a gamecube one and a ps2 one as well). Surprisingly, I've ...

KOF94 or 95 have the potential to be playable and enjoyable I think. I do not think any of the larger ones, (Kof 96 and higher) will be any fun to play, in order to strip them down enough, one would probably have to truncate sprite files, its no fun to play a mess...

My initial thought was to try and decrease the size of a NG rom so it could fit in the DC's ram. I found that when I erased the sound files, and replaced them with text files which share the same name, (the neorageX readme if you would like to know) the rom would still play minus the music/sound sam...

Recently discovered this when trying to swap graphics files among NG roms for curiositys sake. I just tested something that you guys may or may not want to do, depending on how badly you want to play a specific large neogeo game. I truncated the sound to 1k (FM sound still works, it must not be part...

Possible way to play slightly larger NeoGeo games on DC

What if one were to replace the sound roms in neo geo roms (the V1-V4 file extensions which are an extra 8-20 megabytes) with dummied false text files (renamed) which are 1K. Granted you will no longer have any sound at all, but perhaps we could run art of fighting 1? Haven't tested this with the DC...

I have a VERY strange PSO problem. When going online, if I go to the first ship in the US in the first block. (I think Oberon 1) I arrive there, and exactly ten seconds later, my DC resets itself. Its happened over 5 times over the course of the last few months. And I used to be able to go there fin...

I am Jetpac Man. I love the outdoors; the sense of freedom, of adventure. I love the sensation of free-fall, and would parachute and bungee jump on a moment's notice. I know where I want to be, and I strive to get there, making great effort to collect what I need. I let nothing stand in my way. (If ...

This CDRW mod seems to be one of the deadlier ones...

Not only does it seem fairly difficult/ impossible to do correctly, but it ahs resulted in the breaking of I believe about 3-4 Dreamcasts.

Heh, sounds good. Is this the mini CD linux distro you were talking about a while back?

And though this may not be the time/place to talk about it...

Whatever became of the portable DC? (One of the more interesting topics I used to follow.)

How can I get "episode X" for G. Kaiser in Tech Romancer?

I have all of his other story parts, except for episode X.

It does not say the conditions needed, but I did get it once so it can be done. <-during that instance, I had to go out, so I did not get to play it.

My DC has the Naomi logo written on the metal rectangle underneath the GDROM drive. The GD drive itself looks different from my other DC's GDROM drive, though only in minor ways. (The rubber tubes which hold it in place are dark red, and located in different places. Also, the top of the drive looks ...

Here is my advice. Do not get the ibook unless you already have macintosh software you would like to run on it or something. I recommend these PC laptops Toshiba libretto 100ct or 110ct (they are usually cheap, and they are pretty neat -about the size of a sega gamegear) I also recommend the Toshiba...

I will somehow prove to people that this is a US console... It has no obvious signs of a face lift, it has no modchip, and my friend is not technically competent and has never opened it up for any reason. (I originally got this DC from my friend because he broke the GDROM unit) Also, I remember him ...
