What are you guys talking about? Slade is evidently very bright. He's gotten quite a response, hasn't he? Or is that what bothers you... heh. So sick of this newbie bull s h i t... the mods are supposed to enforce rules AND help, right...

Wow... this degenerated into a huge topic of who-the-f u c k cares. Leave the arguments to personal messaging, for christ's sake. I'm interested in the Genesis emulator. So we've got full screen now? Sweet! Auto frame skip? Sweet! How about the color? In the last release, it seemed really blue/purpl...

The reason the Saturn and PSX versions of Mortal Kombat sucked when compared to the cartridge (SNES and Genesis) versions is because of the limited ram/access time on the new cd systems. When you plug a cartridge directly into the board, it's going to have no problem retrieving information... but a ...

The frameskip is there to make the games seem as if they are not running as slow as they are internally... it would be nice to adjust it, but I can see why the DSNES team put it there. Could you imagine having to wait for Chrono to step through every frame on his way to slash an enemy? Good god...

I tried slugging through Seiken 3 back when .94 was new, and it was playable until you had multiple people on your team... now that .95/.96 is out, I think it's hella lot more playable than before, but that may be just because I was so used to .94...

Ugh... so many people seem to be new to the scene... .94 had this same kind of ugly reaction when it was release over a YEAR ago, and now history seems to repeat, despite this version being significantly better. DreamSNES has terrific production value, and remains one of the most professionally exec...

Woah don't be so harsh... that sucks big time, but I believe the emulator has a disclaimer that basically says "This is beta. Don't blame us if it destroys your life." If you value your saves, in the future, wait for version 1.0. These early versions are here for enjoyment, but are not nec...

With autosave off, a save is made every time you exit the game (holding down the analog stick to the left). And yes, it's not the saving that's the problem... it's the loading. It WILL load .94 saves just fine, but when it saves the new compressed format, it cannot seem to recognize the file...

Hollywood... just a few questions.
1.) What brand of memory card are you using, and what slot?
2.) What games have you used to save in?
3.) Which folder do you have your roms in?
Sorry to bombard you, but I've been working at this for 2 days and still have had no luck...

Thank you! It's good to see someone post something positive about this kick-ass emulator. No one seems to realize how well it really was ported, and how much work it takes to right an emulator in assembly. It has all the compatability and functionality of it's PC counter part, it just lacks in the s...

It works quite well... although many people don't know the correct format. each line should read: game.smc:Description of Game. Example: Chrono.smc:Chrono Trigger Mario.smc:Super Mario World Cvania4.smc:Super Castlevania and so on and so forth. Throw all your roms in a directory called "roms&qu...

Everything you wrote is true. The problem comes in after you save again in DreamSNES .95... I did the same as you mentioned above with chrono trigger. It loaded my save just fine, then I saved again (in DreamSNES .95, auto save off), exited the game, and once again my save was lost...

I've tried both 8.3 format and long names, and neither has worked... so we can rule out that problem... jeez... anyone out there get this to work!?! I haven't seen one post saying "Yep saves it's great."

Ok, this flaming is pointless. A much wiser man than us just expressed how dissapointed he is about how the large majority of people in this thread are reacting to the release. Didn't pay attention, did you? These forums are used to spread knowledge and further the cause of the scene. Everyone who h...

Ok, that didn't work... evidently a large majority of the people here are getting this to work, so I've got some questions. Where do you have your roms.lst file, and what folder are your roms in? Also, what games are you saving in, what are their file names, and what is the header name on each? Your...
