Re: Alexander Villagran?
Sorry to bump this. I had reached out to him to ask some questions about some other things he worked on, so I asked about this. This thread turned up when I was trying to figure out how to get in touch with him. He said he gave a talk at GDC about it and he believes the VMU Emulator was actually rel...

Re: PSO Network Trial Edition?
Unfortunately, my copies don't have any sort of cardboard case cover that you'd expect on a Japanese Gamecube game (I suppose I can't expect much for how cheaply I got them), so I can't consult that to see if the BBA is mentioned there. Old, but thought this might be relevant. They didn't come with...

older versions of both contain and use planetweb as primary start browser, later editions use sega's ginsu menu engine to launch all the browsers.but either way they all contain a modified version of planetweb. Huh? I've got a CD-R here that I labelled XDPr4, it does not use Planetweb to boot. It go...

A quick question. Did xdp or any of the prior versions allow you to use the genesis and tg16 emulators that were embedded into one of the web browsers (don't know which). The full versions of DreamPassport Premier and DreamPassport 3 had them, but they had to be rented through the DreamLibrary serv...

So it is in fact a modified version of a commercial product. Don't believe me? Pop in your XDP3 disc and look at the INI files. XDP was not modified from the commerical version of DreamPassport. The only version of DreamPassport sold for a profit was DreamPassport Premier. Dreampassport 2.0 and 3.0...

Grrr... I dumped my BIOS with the method mentioned in the 5th post in this thread months ago. Unfortunately, chanka doesn't want to start up with it. :-( (The Data appears to be valid, there's a SEGA KATANA string in the bios) I guess I need to hook my DC back up and dump it again. Oh well. Thanks f...

There is no way to send data after that, and there is absolutely no way to receive data in the publicly released version. Not yet anyway. But I would think that getting a connection to the PC back would be among the list of things to do for any potential homebrew devkit. The author of the PSOload p...

The reason for the 2MB limit is because he's using PSO to do all of the TCP connection work. If he overwrites any of the memory PSO is using (Almost all of it) the game will crash. And no, you dont need a permanant connection. As soon as the program is done uploading, the server program should autom...

I have a backup of PSO v2, so I'll check that out. What is supposed to be the difference though between that one, and the one currently in XDP v7? I belive XDP v7 still uses the copy of Dreampassport 3.16 I ripped from the Japanese version of PSOv2 for FatheadPi. 3.16 is the only version of 3 that ...

What if you still include them, but you downsample them to say.... 16kbps?az_bont wrote:The authors have specifically asked that any distribution of DCPlaya must include the original MP3s, and all that together would take up over 20MB even when compressed with RAR or ACE.
Would that meet their requirements? :-P

I can tell just by that screenshot what's happening. It's not finding a configued ISP, and it's trying to dump him to the ISP registration screen. If you have a BBA on pre 3.0, you will get dumped here too. Just include a blank page with a Meta refresh tag in place of the registration page it tries ...

WTF? This thread is badly corrupting. Someone with PHPmyAdmin access should go in and fix it manually in the database, or copy the posts to a new thread if PHPBB supports that. (Edit: I see the topic title is back to normal again) Anyway, the reason for the time limit, fatheadpi was using the dreaml...

Re: ok i just tested out the new build for XDP3v7
Next I attempted IRC, I was able to login, however once in a channel, when i would go to type it would constantly revert my keyboard config to that with asian print, especially when i would hit the E or W keys. So i had to pick up my DC controller, pull the L trigger and reset the keyboards configu...

Yeah, I tried it myself, and found out they must've deleted my Dricas account because I haven't used it in 6 months. :-( Couldn't check my dricas e-mail, and when I tried to login on the Ch@btalk page, I got an error. :-( IRC still seems to work fine, just make sure IDENT port (113) is open if behin...
