Re: Restoring profiling to the KOS toolchain

Sorry, but the profiler isn't ready yet. When I was making an example of how to add the profiler to an existing program, I noticed that the profiler was generating incorrect results. After some tweaking, it seems to be working correctly now, but it took longer than I expected. I should have it read...

Re: nullDC - DEV edition

I made a simple modification to nullDC (intended for developers). This version automatically loads your elf\bin file upon starting, so you don't have to manually click on "File->Open bin\elf". It looks for "program.elf" first, then "program.bin" (and exits if nothing is found), so put either of tho...

Re: Restoring profiling to the KOS toolchain

I still have my profiling code, but it needs a bit of cleaning up. Judging from the time stamps on the files, it looks like the oldest parts of it are at least 8 years old, and some of the more recent code is about a year or two old. My coding style has changed over time, so the source looks really...

Re: Restoring profiling to the KOS toolchain

I wrote sampling profiler years ago. It uses a second thread to periodically record the PC of the main thread to an array. When you exit, the samples are saved to a text file on the PC, and a script is used to pass the addresses to addr2line and determine what functions are being run, and how much ...

Big but a single screen game with snes grafix i dont see a problem with using sdl it might be old but it can do a game like that both on pc and dreamcast.. I tend to like using kos 1.1.9 with SDL that GPF fixed for CDDA and stereo i...

Re: A sincere apology from Ian Micheal

Hah! I just saw your name in the programming forums and it made me smile to see you back after all this time. I've also taken a walk down my own memory lane and know there are things I wish I could have done differently. Don't feel bad. We've somehow made it this far and if there's anything I speci...

A sincere apology from Ian Micheal

Hello, This is Ian Micheal. Let me first apologize for my behavior. And how I acted in the Dreamcast scene from 2002 to 2004. I was Wrong And I acted like a jerk. My lack of humility, and Ego Driven pettiness, I'm not going to have an excuse to blame it on. I was wrong not sharing source code, I'm 4...
