Connection troubles
My friends and me, we're having troubles with connecting. Errors are 102 on the GameCube (via BBA) and 008 on the Wii (via Devolution). One of the guys also tried his Dreamcast (via BBA) without success. According to the main page there are other players online right now. We're all in Germany but in...

Re: Want to say Hello
40$ for a BBA? It's 80€ in Germany :o I just bought and hacked an old Wii for a friend of mine. For running PSO I intended to use Devolution. Do you have any opinions about that? Establishing the connection was very easy. So far it seems to be a viable solution to me. Personally I don't have a Wii a...

Re: [GC] Altimira
I just played Endless Nightmare #4 with a friend and somehow it got messed up. From the room with the final warp we took a telepipe back to Pioneer 2 to restock. I went back first. The moment I arrived in Ruins 2 we got the message about the quest being finished and the correspondening music started...

Re: Pioneer Warehouse
What's obscure about it? Go and get yourself a copy of Zusar Vasar before telling me about obscurity. I'm not exactly in a dire need for the downloads. After completing Dream Messenger (EpI&II is still rather new to me!) I just consequently got curious about the GBA functions. For me hunting dow...

Pioneer Warehouse
I just played "Dream Messenger" together with a friend on EpI&II.
I learned that it is a prerequisite for enabling a GBA download in "Pioneer Warehouse", which I'd love to try.
Is there any specific reason for that quest not being available on Sylverant?

How much time and effort have you actually put into this?
That's a respectable list of fixes.

Re: PSO Questions & Answers
I recently bought a device for connecting a SD card to my Gamecube and boot software from it. See this thread: http://dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=103477 Using that I'm backing up my files rather regularly now because it's so very easy. I don't think that any other method could be ...

On the Dreamcast this can be controlled with a gamepad plugged into the third port.

Re: How do you back up your PSO files (if at all)?
I also have a setup for the Gamecube now. There is an easy to use software for taking dumps of save files called GCMM: https://code.google.com/p/gcmm/ Though you somehow need to put a SD card into your memory slot and find a way to boot GCMM. Both can be done with this device (amongst others) that I...

How do you back up your PSO files (if at all)?
Do you make backups of your PSO files? And if you do: How do you do it? For the Dreamcast I'm using this software http://bswirl.kitsunet.org/vmutool/release/about/?lg=en&menu=on to send the save files to my netbook via the BBA. It took me quite a while to figure it out for the very first time. B...

Re: New Player
I cannot confirm wether AR is suffering from that as I don't use my US version for actually playing the game. I have never encountered problems with other games. Though I prefer just using different consoles if possible. I've checked the download sections of Sylverant and PSO Palace. Can I find a mo...

Well... I had to do it like you had mentioned a few posts earlier as I didn't get past the V1 acces key entry.
Thanks again.

Re: Question No. 2475 about Serial Numbers
I should be able to relocate my V1 sometime. But for now at least I can register. Thanks for that! EDIT: Not quite yet, it seems. When trying to register V2 with the data you gave me I'm getting this: There was an error registring your Dreamcast serial number and access key. Please try again. If you...

Re: New Player
I never even tried entering a code with that AR demo. It has an option called "start game without codes" which lets you use it like any boot disc.

Re: Question No. 2475 about Serial Numbers
I got my new V2 and I'm able to connect.
However I was not able to find out my Access Keys. My old V1 serial was still stored when I tried going online with a newly created character but the game wouldn't show me the V1 access key.

Re: New Player
If you're proficient with burning CDs for the Dreamcast there is also a demo version of Action Replay on the internet. Google should get you there in a minute.
It's what I've been using as a boot disc for years.

Re: Question No. 2475 about Serial Numbers
I'm currently not in need of new characters. Still for me it's reason enough for getting another disk. They're not that expensive anymore.

PlanetWeb or DreamPassport wouldn't work I think.
I have done it with XDP but I'll probably use my US v2 in the future, too.

Re: Question No. 2475 about Serial Numbers
I already ordered a copy. Seems like there's absolutely nothing left to worry about. Everyone should be using Sylverant and I hope to make a few old players do so. It took me a few hundred kilometres of travelling but i could locate a lost old friend and he's preparing to get online with the Gamecube.
