Re: A new DC loader, and a larger idea to revitalize the sce
I've seen an awful lot of the emulators and utilities, and even homebrew ports and freeware homebrew games, even obscure ones, available on piracy sites like isozone. I also have several CDrs I burned back in 2001/2002, stuff like linux and netbsd, old versions of emulators, games made by people who...

Re: How to set up ( Configure ) a server to run F355 Challen
I believe the online mode was basically downloading other players ghost data and racing against that. It was not actually realtime versus mode, nor could you collide with the ghost (based on third party experience). I think the only realtime racing games on the DC were Speed Devils Online, Pod Speed...

Re: Wild Riders
Is it my imagination, or can the entire game be beaten in 6 and a half minutes? The last video in the first post shows a lengthy level, but no choose level screen (no multiple levels?) and no second level comes after the first! That certainly would also have gone against a potential home console rel...

1990s Raizing/Toaplan arcade shmups, feasibility of emulatio
Several Raizing and Toaplan (precursor to the notorious Cave of Dodonpachi fame) shmups were released in the 1990s and are well known as high quality classics in the genre by shmup fans. Some of these titles found release only on the Sega Saturn, while others stayed as arcade releases only. At any r...

Re: dreamcast graphics comparison
A fun way to ponder this question is to look at late period (post 2003) dreamcast and naomi games - naomi, because this sega arcade hardware was similar in spec to the dreamcast and various developers continued making games for the system until 2008 or so. I think a few naomi titles are good to ment...

Re: auto-boot a ROM
Thanks for the info. I was thinking maybe I could get a PAL version rom and it would run faster... I think I saw something about that and getting a speed boost in dreamsnes on these very forums years ago. You did answer my question though - which is, no, I won't be able to autoboot it

Re: auto-boot a ROM
Massive bump. Anyone know if any DC SNES emulators allow for autoloading of a particular rom as of 2013?

Re: NXEngine for DC
Thank you! I just gave it a test play and a lot of the previous bugs are gone. This version is a great improvement! I still get gameplay hiccups though. While the music plays smoothly and no longer skips, the gameplay (character and monster movement and projectiles) will pause for an instant about e...

Re: NXEngine for DC
Excellent! Really excited to try this out!
Can anyone do me a favor and create a CDI? I'll spread the word across other DC websites when there is another simple download for people.
btw: fan created covers, etc.

Re: Karaoke Addon - High Resolution Images including Disasse
I thought I heard there were a very small handful of songs on the disc itself?
Maybe one could figure out a driver for the unit and make a homebrew guitar amp simulation, using the karaoke mic inputs as an electric guitar input.

Re: NXEngine for DC
I am the user formerly known as darkschneider. I used to be on dcemulation forums back in the 2001-2005 timeframe. I can't remember what email was tied to my account though, or what my old password was, hence the clever new name. Anyway, I just happened upon this happy news of the nxengine/cave stor...
