Those are some fine-looking animations. Love the fluidity of it all.
In fact, I think I've been staring at the dancing flower for about 20 minutes now. Please send help.

Re: Coders cable
So I've gotten a coders cable at last (thanks to Ex-Cyber for donating me one!) So my question is, I guess the way it would work is I run program on my DC and PC which will allow them to connect with the cable? So what software would I need? I've seen talk about dcload but that seems to be for BBA'...

Re: The Dolmexica Engine [Moddable 2D Fighter for DC]
Wow, I can't believe I missed this thread. Now that I have updated the thread with my huge wall of text, it must have gotten kinda hard to miss. When the release ???  Like most developers, I feel obliged to say something along the lines of " When it's done! " ...

Re: The Dolmexica Engine [Moddable 2D Fighter for DC]
For those of you having problems, try the direct link . Oh, just so you know, I have tried a lot of image hosting sites and imageshack has proven to be the most reliable. But mouZ is correct (thanks bro!), this is neither the place nor the time to discuss that. So let us talk about gameplay. Regardi...

Re: The Dolmexica Engine [Moddable 2D Fighter for DC]
Cool but videos or screenshots possible :?: I originally wanted to post something about the gameplay style first, but I guess I might as well share some screenshots. It sure was a lot of trouble to get those screenshots. Making the demo disc was pretty easy, but when I tried to run it on Chankast a...

The Dolmexica Engine [Moddable 2D Fighter for DC]
Hey there friends, enemies and colleagues ! As you may or may not have guessed, I have come here today, to announce my current game developing project: The Dolmexica Engine ! Well, the title kinda gives it away, but the engine is a moddable engine , similar in style to Senile Team 's Beats of Rage ,...

Re: The toolchain of doom
Thanks for the Linux suggestions, I stuck with Xubuntu in the end. Getting packages with synaptic/apt-get worked pretty good, the only problem I have with the OS is that it freezes a lot for me (especially when building the toolchain. Murphy's law, eh?). Oh, and the toolchain compiled just fine, my ...

Re: The toolchain of doom
Ah, thanks for explaining the maple_compat warnings. Heh, I thought that they could be hinting at a problem with the toolchain. Did you do "make kos-ports_all" from the kos directory (what I do), or did you cd to kos-ports and do make? I tried both and both resulted in the same erro...

The toolchain of doom
OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Now that we've got that out of the way, I indeed have a question or two regarding certain toolchain errors. You see, for the last few days, I've been setting up a fancy new toolchain consisting of gcc 4.5.2, newlib 1.19.0 and binutils 2.21 with the current dc-chain using...

@Captain Dreamcast: Thanks for posting the news! As you can see I've split & edited your post - mainly to get rid of your personal opinion about it being "yet another shmup" =P Well, I DID say that it's a good-looking generic shmup! Seriously though, I'm looking forward to s...

Re: Segagaga translation in the works
I am currently working on a PVM file extractor / packer. PVM files is a small header then a bunch of PVR's glued together. My tool will scan the PVM file, would work the same for a headerless file, extract all the PVR textures, and read all the information on the textures; resolution, pixel format,...

Re: AOTB May Not Come to Dreamcast
Well, they're planning to make a trailer and start accepting preorders to see how many people are still interested in AotB for Dreamcast, right? There's still hope >_<
...I just wonder how Senile Team defines "commercially successful" and how many preorders they expect
