I heard Chui stated that he has managed to utilize the SD card to effectively double system RAM, without slowdowns. Couldnt the DC's 8mb of video memory be used for all of the (VQ) textures data? RAM issues would probably stop it from running most maps/mods. IIRC the assets for the commercial DC port of Quake III Arena (levels, models, textures) were modified to reduce RAM footprint. I have made a simple app for DreamShell that will allow you to dump a GD to your SD card. (All it does is launch DC SDRip from the desktop. It will need 5-key soft-reset to return to DreamShell.) I think that smpeg too slow, yet nothing is going to do with it. I need the source ffmpeg. The module of DC Playa did not come to DreamShell. Mouse normal work on DC, nullDC badly emulate mouse.
