Re: Classic consoles

Why not do something more interesting? Add wi-fi, some extra storage, and PSN connectivity to download more PS1 games and possibly allow for netplay. Ship it with leftover DualShock 3s. Amusingly they did have something like that in the PSTV. What they should have done is just recalled all of those...

Re: Classic consoles

There's a tasteful way to do a classic console and make boatloads of money from it. In Sony's case, they rolled out a preloaded system on a chip with a generic looking menu after spending years building up a giant library of PS1 games on PSN that ended up becoming exclusive to dead systems - PSP, PS...

Re: When did they start making Fruit Punch Steel Reserve

Yeah, there was fruit punch and another kind in pounders the last time I got a 6 pack. I stopped drinking malt liquor around the time that Old E switched to plastic (2013 i think). 4loko was interesting before it lost the energy drink part, all the other $2 fruit malt liquors were terrible (surprise...

real off-the-grid people play Dreamcast online on mesh wifi networks.
I spent 8 long years trying to get my ham radio operator license and when I finally do, I don't want to put it to waste
tbh that does sound like a better idea though

I yearn to live off the grid but there's one problem

Assuming if I had an energy source (i.e. solar, hydro) sufficient enough to power a SEGA DREAMCAST™, a small television, and a ham radio internet remote base, I don't think it would guarantee enough bandwidth to game online.

Re: Do you still mod your game consoles?

:o I've tried to respond to this once before and got lost doing so. It's an impressive list of accomplishments. I didn't know half of these mods even existed. How did they add a pause feature to the 2600? Is the Saturn a Model 1 or 2? Have you considered overclocking such a tricked out Dreamcast? Y...

Re: Do you still mod your game consoles?

I still modify my consoles, if only there's a need to do so. I'm currently waiting on a MODBO5 from China, for the PS2 which I ordered a few weeks back (it was $3). I really just wanted an excuse to use my soldering iron, since my MegaDrive 2 projects two years ago... Which I never finished as I ha...

Do you still mod your game consoles?

All I've done in the past few years is softmod a 20 GB PS3. The Christmas exploit was a great way for the system to go out in its twilight. MultiMAN Cobra Mode for everyone.

On a side note, it is incredible to see how far modding has come. An army of Ben Heckerdorns is forming.
