Re: Eclipse, Linux, and Dreamcast Dev
I figured out how to do it, but I have to use a make file :\ Is that honestly a bad thing? If you release anything DC related without a Makefile, or even with just a Eclipse project file, people are going to be even less likely to try compiling your code themselves. The Makefiles are also typically...

Re: I think linux might have "broken through" with ubuntu
Considering this is my objective view on Linux, and I've been willing to give it months to change, I figure I've given it a pretty fair chance. Well, if you started using Vista (as a "normal and veteran PC user") and only gave it a few months to change (from initial release and from every...

Re: I think linux might have "broken through" with ubuntu
If we wanted to continue using terminals, DOS would still be the leading OS. It's already addressed why the terminal is still the preferred way to tell people how to do things in Linux (did you miss that part?) By and large, it's simpler than explaining "Click Start, Click My Computer, Right C...

Re: I think linux might have "broken through" with ubuntu
Resurrecting a dead thread  Lots of choices with few clear differences and crazy names and brands that have nothing in common with the "Linux" name. Actually, Linux is a trademarked name. The US Trademark office actually forced the Linux Mark Institute was required to enforc...

Re: Dual Shock/ Right Hand Analog Stick For Dreamcast?
Wouldn't be easy very easy IMO & probably error prone. I'm not saying don't try, but I just get the feeling you won't have much good luck with said mod (I too have thought about it, and didn't come up with any kind of easy way to do it.)

Re: LXDream Question
Depends what you're wanting out of it. It works relatively well (or did, I think the current mercurial head broke the elf loader) for directly loading sh-elf binaries to test (for instance, KOS demos/programs/apps/etc, tend to work fairly well. Though, things like bios fonts don't work IIRC, but tha...

Re: Open Sonic port for Dreamcast Released
If people are going to be dicks about open source software just like they're dicks about copyrighted material, then I have no sympathy for them. They are not even in the same open source movement as I am and I would feel no responsibility to honor their requests or their licenses. But it's well wit...
