thanks. It was the common resistor problem on the controller port board. Instead of replacing it with a new resister, i simply put a wire across. a controller of mine seems quite dodgy. it only works when the controller is an awkward position, like upside down or on the side. so when it works the dc responds to the buttons, and the vmu turns on. so i openned it, and i swiched the main wire with another one from another controller and i realiz...

yeah that happned to me. if all else fails, simply hook the main led directly to the 3.3v power supply which is what i did. i too probably screwed up my board with my soldering skills but im not worrying bc it works fine now.

the led could be stuffed.
