Re: What the R422 mod actually does

Personnally, when I made the region changer mod a year ago, I've tried the r422 trick, jsut to see what it acutally does. With a ntsc console flashed to PAL my screen flickered and was in black and white. With a ntsc console flashed to PAL and R422-mod enabled, my screen was in black and white but w...

Re: Is God a learned concept? And, who's teaching it?

While I agree that I have as much reason to believe in God as I do Santa Claus, let me just play devil's advocate for a second. Linguists understand that the fundamental rules of all human languages are hard-wired into our brains at birth. We are not born knowing any language, but our neurological ...

Re: Is God a learned concept? And, who's teaching it?

I kind of agree with darc on what he said beside the part he said he thinks Maturion has been rude against atheist, I think his reply was not mean to be rude, it think it was an open question, fair enough as long as we can answer. And all this about Christians "forcing their policies into your ...

Re: Is God a learned concept? And, who's teaching it?

You can't prove his existence, but you can't prove that he does not exist either. Let's leave it at this. I deeply think you can beleive in what you think as long as you don,t want to convert me to your religion (and you're more than ok with that :P) but I can't take that last statement as a real a...

Re: Is God a learned concept? And, who's teaching it?

IMO God/Jesus only is an old story that evolved through time and translations errors into something completely off the track. It's just like we had take the Homer's Odyssey as our bible then create a religion based on it. Nobody beleives in god when they born, jsut as nobody beleives in santa claus ...

Re: Is the concept of human race biologically valid?

AFAIK the difference between skin colors doesn't create a new race, not more thant the color of the eyes or of the hairs. To be of a new race one would have to be genetically really more different than simply of a different skin-color. A black and a white labrador dog are still labrador dogs, ain't ...

Re: Looking for DC>NES Control pad guide

Don't forget to scratch the green layer to expose the copper of the board also, it won't stick without it. I'd suggest to lay your wire flat on the board, so it touches the solder point without moving, then apply the solder over it, while blowing on it, so it'll cool off rapidly and will stick there...

Re: Looking for DC>NES Control pad guide

One of the coolest things I wanted to do was the control mod from a DC control pad to a NES pad. I remember there was a DChardware site that I can no longer find the link to that had full instructions plus pictures. I had started this project then never finished it, and I would like to finally get ...

Re: Dreamcast Optical Storage Medium is shit!

Do you have an unburned GD-R? I would be interested to know if the bottom of it looks like it has two separate regions before they're burned. After being burned, they all look the same (since GD-Workshop would pad the second region of all discs out to a 45000 LBA automatically), but before being bu...

Re: Reading GD-Rom Discs with a YAMAHA CDR400t

The hidden switch kills 100% of GD-Writers. Don't bother opening it up if you ever receive one. Once reassembling the unit back into place, it will only "spit" discs out, even after the switch is set back to its normal position. I used to have a tutorial online but quickly deleted it afte...

Re: Reading GD-Rom Discs with a YAMAHA CDR400t

Don't get over-excited, it's most likely only a joke based of a reality, gd-writer are based on cdr400 and got the same firmware base (444ko etc.). But in order to transform a cdr400 into a gd-reader we would have to 1st transform it into a working gd-writer via complex hardwares mod (builduing a gd...
