I did it...
Well I went ahead and did it. I bought an XBOX for $89 at a pawn shop. It wasn't very hard to mod it. I had a friend help me and it took less than five minutes. We softmodded it, which is a very simple way to do it. I then used FTP to transfer every game I wanted. The thing emulates so perfectly eve...

PAL roms run faster...What a hoax
The rumor that European PAL roms run faster than American NTSC is, in my opinion, totally false. I just spent hours looking for European PAL roms and finally found some, just to test their speed. I loaded a CDR with sets of ROMs, each set having a PAL version and an NTSC version of the same game. Re...

How to create perfect ROMS.txt file for GenPlus
I don't know if there's an easier way to do this, but I was quite puzzled at first on how I would create a text file to display the names of the games. The format is [filename.zzz] [display name]. Then I noticed that I could implement the GenHave.txt file that GoodGen created for me. I copied all of...

Settings for GenPlus3?
You know those crazy settings at the top of the screen when you're picking a game for GenPlus? What are they. One is like FAME vs. C86 or something, another is SW vs. HW. I don't get it. All I know is that if I accidentally push A to pick a game instead of start like I'm supposed to, it switches tha...

Difference between SMD and BIN
Some of the Genesis roms are in .smd format and others are in .bin. It seems like .bin is more standard - can I just go to DOS and do a mass rename of all .smd to .bin, or do I need to actually convert them, as simply renaming them will make them unreadable?

XBOX Emulation or DC Emulation?
I've heard that the XBOX emulates better than DC, but is it worth buying an expensive XBOX and modding it? I think the only room for improvement that DC would be SNES emulation, everything else I've seen is just about perfect.

Controller Plug-in Adapter for Dreamcast
I found many places on the internet that offer an adapter that will plug PlayStation controllers into the Dreamcast. They're like 20 bucks a piece. At least a PS controller is more similar to the old school controllers than the DC one. I was wondering if anyone has seen any other offers for controll...

Any1 else having problems with the Road Rash games?
With GenPlus, many games work perfectly, but Road Rash 1, 2, and 3 all have distorted graphics. There's no road, instead it's the color of the sky and really "boxy" looking. Is there anyone else who sees this?

GenPlus V03 Sound and Menu Issues
I love the speed and appreciate the hard work put into it. Two questions tho. 1. The sound skips a lot in a lot of games, (Sonic espeicially). Is there a fix for this? 2. I have that green menu, but it takes a long time to scroll through the games. Lots of delay. Can I get a different menu. Don't me...
