thats not the line im talking about..im talking about hacking a system to death..potentially destroying valid companies in the process..thats the line im talking about...just so a few net geeks can play the classics on the newest system out.

well third party hacking..not development..is what caused the system to die. more so than poor management...until a line can be drawn in the sand by the courts..international or otherwise..that states what "third-parties" can and cant do..i'll have to go with the companies rights on this o...

using an emulator to test a game under development is not a valid use of an emulator..thats what dev kits are made by the system creators for.some of these arguments for emu legality are weaker than some of the arguments ive read here about browser hacking...

emulators technically should be illegal..for they are the means by which people bootleg and play many games without an original system and/or game. many would say that if you want an snes system with games..buy them. why have an emulator when you can have the real system? for the simple reason that ...

no not really,i see dclinux as more of a proof of concept for dc more than anything..mainly because its locked to "read-access" only...if not for that..maybe some limited read/write to vmu..might be worth a go.

Anyone have any idea why these guys seem obsessed with making bogus release date after bogus release date?
They pulled this about a month ago, and now again. Sad to see.

some unforseen errors that came up,not enough help working on it,many many things can delay a piece of software..

also a bug report..the ship(ie: lifecount) nor score shows up when playing,and final scores are always zero.

Imerion has given me permission to offer up the FPG theme pak for vanguard wars,download it here..its not selfboot or binaries.just the main fpg.upload restrictions with 50megs...lol..geesh.. just replace the original vwars.fpg with the themed fpg and selfboot with selfboot inducer..no binhacking ne...

also i have created a new image with new ships,enemies,waepons,etc if anyone would like it..this is of course upon imerion's approval of theme..i will upload the image to a free host and send imerion the link for approval or disapproval. if approval is given imerion can post the download link here.

yeah thats the one i have.i will tinker around with its settings more to optimize my speeds some to see what i can get.either way it is a promising emu for dc that sherzo should be proud of.

EDIT:

duhh...that is version 2..i notice its extremely slow with games using mode 7 with or without sound..umm that is version 2 on famicast.com right?

Dreamsnes is the standard for dreamcast snes emulation..it has the speed and i have always wanted the ability to theme it,start a themes site,etc..i waited to see if maybe the devvers would release the info on how to open the .zvr versions or atleast the info on how they edited and created the pvr s...
