They switched to red because they wanted a fresh start after the CD/32X/Saturn desaster - that's why they didn't call it SEGA Dreamcast (like SEGA Saturn, SEGA 32X or SEGA CD) but just Dreamcast. The blue swirl was a decision of SOE. The red one is the original Dreamcast logo. Actually I've always ...

Why does it say building a voltage inducer on step 10? If I add the <cr>, is there a chance I won't have to build this voltage inducer.

I'm using PCI, I didn't know I needed the voltage inducer. Damn, there goes my hopes of getting this up :( I can't build anything for my life so I guess I"m screwed. Sorry about not linking the topic and thanks for the reply.

I visit IGN just about everyday and I post there too however, I've seen that blog multiple times and I'm pretty sure this is just a joke. If it really means something then it's probably just a confirmation for Dreamcast being downloadable on the Wii. Personally I wouldn't mind that kind of announcem...

Problem with PC-->DC connection

I have window 98 installed and I'm using this to set it up. I entered all the values and I know I have a voice modem in my PC. What I'm doing though is I've got a modem on this PC that is supposed to connect to the Dreamcast, and then I've got a wireless card that picks up signals from my router in ...

Actually, Penny Arcade posted a link awhile back confirming Shenmue 3 was being developed for the Xbox 360 and it would compile the past two games into the same game as well (so it will be Shenmue 1, 2, and 3 in one game). I'll try to find the link but I doubt I will.

Hey Dreamcast, could I have another way of contacting you? Do you have an AIM or MSN? I think we could get this working if you could help me quickly with this. I'd be very grateful. Also, if anyone else has gotten this to work and is willing to help me, could you post or PM me a way to contact you (...

If I press connect on my dreamcast first, wait five seconds, then press apply on my Windows 98 thing, the modem does the "time out" noise. If I hit apply first, then hit connect on my dreamcast, I get the sound of the modem dialing out, then I hear that connection noise that can be heard i...

Ok, I hit apply on my Lucent Win Modem Dial Up Connection and waited until I heard the modem start to dail out. Then, I hit connect on the dreamcast and I hear what sounds like the two modems are connection (like wind rushing by your ear, almost like SHHHHHHHHHH). It just keeps doing this until the ...

Well I have my own DNS IPs on the webbrowser and I have it dial the number, "555". I here the modem dialing and then I hear it connecting (it goes from numbers being dialed to a strange sound that sounds like water rushing by your or something). It never connects though. My dial up server ...

In an attempt to reword my previous question, this is basically what I'd like to know:

To all who have gotten this connection thing to work with Win 98, what did you put in the DNS spots on your webbrowser? Also what do you have typed for your answers part of your modem.

Ok, I installed the driver, the problem is, the DC won't connect. What should my DNS addresses be for the Dreamcast Configuration. The two guides give two different things to do (one says to put your own in, the other says to put a specific in one in). I have my own, should I change that? Also, I ha...

Ok, I was a bit confused as to what you were talking about. I managed to figure out how to check if my modem is a voice modem, and it is. Secondly though, when I try and get Windows 98 to detect the modem, it says it can't find it so I have to pick what modem I have from a list. I don't know the nam...
