Re: Smash Pack programmer wanted Echelon to release ROM Loader
I am not sure why that'd be trolling. I am honestly confused as to why it is okay to record and share TV programs and music with friends and family, but not on the internet. Most often, sharing it on the internet basically means that it will be available to the general public. The sharing you descr...

Re: Neko Project II 0.82 Dreamcast edition released
It's fast enough to make some games pretty playable. Thexder seems to work pretty good for example. There a quite a lot of options taken from the PC version. However it has some insane flickering on a lot of games. I'm not sure what the issue is. The games that work correctly seem to use the lowres ...

Re: Improving Dreamfrodo's saving and display (maybe also FMSX?)
Regarding progressive output, what I meant was not progressive output per se, but 240p instead of the standard 480i (when connected to a SDTV). Or in other words, just the implementation of the standard C64 320x200 resolution (with possible additional overscan) Actually, that's an issue with ...

Improving Dreamfrodo's saving and display (maybe also FMSX?)
This C64 emulator is already very solid, but I think it would benefit if somebody could take a look at the source and possibly implement the following: - Saving disk changes (sectors). The standard savestates can take a lot of space, I think it would be very good if there's was an option to save lik...

Re: So how well can UAE4ALL emulate the Amiga on DC?
Is only on blank disc actually needed? I have used DCastaway, but haven't played a game yet using the save feature, so I don't know exactly how it works. You just insert the blank, and the emulators save the changes for each game?

I simply assumed that Snesstation runs at true (or something close) 256 x 224 because that's afaik one of the PS1 modes, and..the way it looks. Which is different from say, DreamSNES. The graphics in Snesstation just looked pretty accurate to me. Been awhile since I used it though (and years since I...

Low-res modes of current and nextgen consoles?
The Ps2 is capable of true low-res, right? I assume it can output any Ps1 resolution. I assume that the Snesstation emulator runs in 256 x 224 mode, which is the SNES's original resolution. The DC's lowres is afaik 320 x 240, are there any additional modes? And of course, this is really the question...

Sorry to bring this up again, but I'd like to know: How do I correctly burn the latest version? I burned one of the previous versions successfully, but can't get this done. The compressed file I got from the FTP contains an elf, Atari800.bin (unscrambled), and Atari800.scrambled. I just took the Ata...

Anyone know if Atari800Dc plays xex files? also: read/write
the readme says that "executable" files are supported, in the pc version that includes xex (common format), .com and .exe. Also, I realized that some games apparently need disk read/write turned on. That's not possible on the Dc I guess, or is there some way this can be possibly emulated? ...

Right, I guess until 1991 most Amiga titles were converted for the ST (or the other way round, eg. Thaolin software - I guess that's the reason many Amiga titles are supposed to make only use of 16 colours at once) I'd like to play some of the strategy/rpg stuff, but you'd need a proper saving featu...

Questions about the screen and the smoothing
Is the smoothing actually just the bilinear filtering which can be found in other emulators (nester, neo4all and I think Gnuboy, though it's not optional there)? Maybe it's just my imagination, but it looks not as blurry to me. Which brings me to another thing - I think with smoothing on it looks be...

The biggest problem I noticed with PGen (this is turning into a non-dc emu discussion) was the sound emulation. Some games have a very annoying buzz in the backgound. Others have it hardly at all. I've also noticed that the complexity of the game doesn't always correspond how fast it will run; some...

I have some experience using PGEN. It's quite good, probably near (if not) full speed with most games. There is no frameskip option and sound is, according to the readme at 24khz. However, there's is definatly some room for improvement with regards to compatibility (Ys3 and most of the chinese rpgs ...

Um yeah. Anyway, I tried it without sound and autoframeskip, Advance wars, Magical Vacation and one of the Castlevanias (Aria of Sorrow was it I think) load and play, though of course very slow. It's not as worse as I expected, but playable at some point? Who knows. But GB emulation seems almost up ...

An MSX update would be cool indeed, there are quite some interesting translated games around the net. I tried Risk Daisenryaku (part of the series that's also available on the DC, comparable to Advance Wars on the GBA), but the text and batte sequences are messed up, making this not really playable.
