This review says that SCUMMVM wouldn't load with it, so that'd a big reason not to buy it. The description at the top link does, however, now say that it requires third-party software, which it initially did not (from what I can tell in this review).

How big a run did you print? What's the situation for those who still want to order? (obviously you'd want to send remaining copies to people who didn't receive their original order, but after that....)

While media mail sucks, it should still take less than a month. The zines must be lost somewhere. They could still turn up, though. I once got a package from the USPS with a five-inch hole all the way through it. To make up for it, the mailman rubberbanded a zeroxed USPS note that said "We care."

Just wondering...

1. Has anyone received it yet?
2. What's the verdict?
3. CAn people who didn't pre-order order copies yet?

Just out of curiosity, are average Joe's encouraged to wait for the "final" release of Gen Plus, or is the current one pretty much complete except for some sound problems? (I've gotten both impressions...)

Thanks.

So which program has the best compatibility, if, say, I want to watch some avi data CDs that I've already burned? DC Movie Player?

Burning .bin and Nero files with Toast (?)

Hi all, I'm having Mac burning problems again... After someone mentioned it on the main discussion room, I tried to download and burn DC Movie Player. Neither of my versions of Cdirip will separate the cdi image, and I can't figure out how to burn bins and/or Nero files with Toast. (I also have a 1s...

I disaggree that this isn't going anywhere legit. There are no laws that say we can't write our own FAQs that describe similar/basically identical processes to those in existing FAQs. It's technically not ethical to downright steal them, but much of the info was stolen without citation to begin with...

So will anyone want these when I download them? Or are you worried about legality? I'm sure tons of people would appreciate it. Would it have to be on an entire mirror site to do it, though? what if a bunch of people mailed the writers of the FAQs and asked.. a lot would be too hard to contact but ...

We could just make faqs based on the existing ones. I mean, paraphrasing is okay. As long as we play the games ourselves, we are just using a guide to beat a game to make a guide. Or something. Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. The majority of the information in the FAQs isn't copyrightable. The on...

Yeah, I suggested back when Scherzo discussed the conflict that we should just write up a legal guide of what information could be taken from the FAQs, and then have a bunch of volunteers do maybe 10 or so each. If done properly, this would be perfectly legal and would open up the one missing featur...

four-player support

If it's an easy bug to fix, it'd be cool if someone could fix four-player mode in games like Super Spike V'Ball, Harlem Globetrotters, Nightmare on Elm Street (not that it's worth playing), etc. so that players 1 and 2 don't have to mimmick controllers three and four. I don't know anything about it,...

More on four-player games

I'm still loving the emulator. But just for the sake of bug-list compilation, I thought I'd list games that I have confirmed cause malfunctioning four-player control (not that these are great games anyway): Superspike Volley Ball (V'Ball) Harlem Globetrotters Nightmare on Elm Street I DIDN'T encount...

I agree that the emu is awesome, but I have a question that may or may not be a problem with the emu, and I might as well bring attention to it while this thread is around. Has anyone tested four-player support? It seems to work fine in games like M.U.L.E. but Superspike Volleyball and Harlem Globet...

To clear up the various copyright confusions (some good news, some bad)... 1. An author automatically owns the copyright to his or her creation, regardless of a copyright symbol or notice. 2. Registering a copyright is the way to go for surefire legal protection, and I'm sure very few to none of the...

Thanks for the info. I guess maybe I'll be able to play Vib Ribbon on a computer some day.

I may check out bleemcast if I can find a copy for one of those three games, although I've never played them before.

odd region-related newb question about PSX emulators

I'm pretty new here and am wondering where I can still purchase bleem, and am also wondering about compatibility issues that may require me to try my luck with one of the free, slow-running emulators I've read about on the site. The posts I've seen make it sound like only certain games work. Is this...

unscrambled bins and The Neo Geo CD emulators

So, I wanted to try out the Neo Geo CD emus, which are only available, from what I understand, in unscrambled bin files. From what I've read, it looks like I have to scramble these, but can't figure out how. Has anyone else burned these and if so, use a tutorial other than this one?: http://www.dcev...
