SuSe 10 - No internet access

After giving up trying to get the internet in Ubuntu I installed SuSe 10... and get the same problem. However this time I can ping my network and random sites and get all packets back, but just can't get any internet access. I'm a complete noob to Linux and I'm finding it frustrating trying to get t...

Ninty customer service is great, they replace my GC that was 6 months out of warranty completely free - I sent them just the console (wouldnt read discs) and they sent me back a brand new boxed GC + controller and leads :D

I'll reinstall GRUB so I can get into Ubuntu and then post the results of trying that. Thanks BlackAura, I pinged my router's IP before, it was the first thing I tried to do. The results were that 5 packets were sent and 5 packets were lost :( I think your correct in saying that DHCP may not have wo...

Sorry, I should have added more detail. When installing it said it had set up the network with DHCP. I could see the access lights flashing on my router when it was setting up so it definately was speaking to it. The PC has a PCI ethernet adaptor connected to my Addon GWAR3000 router via an RJ45 cab...

I found that if you ground the pin diagonally opposite then it is like having the analgoue full to that direction, I don't know if this helps you but I used it when I modded a SNES controller for DreamSNES and needed the select button to work. I've been wanting to try to make a stock DC controller w...

Setting up the internet on Ubuntu

I know never to refer to Windows when you have a problem, but in XP this just worked from the off. My ADSL modem/router is set up with two other PCs working great, and the XP installed on this machine connects fine. However, I can't connect to the internet in Ubuntu, and I can't seem to find any opt...

I don't really understand what your talking about in the first post... The pin which you lift up is the source of the old clock signal (33.3Mhz). The place that it used to be soldered to is the place you want to put your new signal (on the other side of the board there is a resistor that is a much n...

It's not that useful for DreamSNES. My DC is clocked at 252Mhz, thats 52Mhz over the stock speed, and most DreamSNES games still only get an increase between 2 and 5%. However its useful for some commercial games with slowdown, Shenmue 2 in the Golden Qtr. is full speed.

Do you mean a pinout of the connections on the motherboard that are connected to the switches on the front of the case? If so then there will be a pinout of them in the mobo's manual if it doesnt use a standard connecter.

That's exactly what i'm having trouble understanding. The select line will only be held at +5V when you press the reset button, when you let go its back to ground... I think this IC needs only a single pulse of +5V on the select to tell it to change from inputs from xA to xB, that would explain how ...

saturn switchless import mod - Anyone done this?

Sega Saturn Switchless Import Mod I'm having a bit of trouble understanding this mod, mainly how the switch is done. I know the 'select' line must be changed from high to low or vice versa, but how is this done? Is there a point on the reset switch that changes from low to high after the Saturn is ...
