Re: gustav sucks
What confuses me the most is how technology has improved so much but buildings just don't stand up to these storms the way the older ones do. Maybe technology has designed everything to be so fragile

Re: So is this a local thing, or what?
I have never, ever heard of this. Why would anyone get tattoos of their area code? Especially of something that can change depending on if you move, where you cell phone is activated, or even by government issue if they run out of numbers. It must be a big city thing. lol...I was thinking the same ...

I love it and I immediately drew comparison to Braid. GJ!
Oh...what is really cool about it is that the silhouette could be a young girl...or a vulture perched on a tree stump. It's all in the imagination!

I have weathered so many hurricanes growing up in South East Texas that I really do know your pain |darc|. Ike sucks too! My entire family (parents, grandfather, both sisters and their husbands, 2 nieces, 1 nephew and extended family members through my sisters' marriages) had to evacuate. I'm housin...

Are you nuts? That is a pretty cool collection you have there and would be a shame for you if you got rid of it. I have always regretted selling off my old games and I can imagine with the care you have shown those items, you would feel the same eventually. I say keep it!

Mine has been collecting some dust lately, but it might see some action soon. I found a local seller that wants to unload some games that I don't have and have been wanting to play. Maybe 08 will be a better year!

WOW...is there NOONE out there willing to step up to the challenge? Ok, maybe someone could hack a VMU save and see if the millionth frag garners any special marker.

I absolutely love that game and will be getting it for the Wii.
I had two sets of maracas controllers but they never seemed to be very accurate and I had more success in playing the game with the controller. I just hope Nintendo manages to get the controls right in this port!

Quake III Arena Mega-Frag?
I didn't feel that this belonged in the QuakeDev board because it has nothing to do with development, so... Has anyone managed to get 1,000,000 frags in Q3A and if so, is there a special sound byte for that marker? I know that is a helluva lot of time spent in that game and if anyone knows the answe...

Re: Starter dreamcast games
Way too many games to list, but JGR is an absolute must! It's colorful, has an awesome soundtrack and some of the best gameplay in any game available for the system. It doesn't hurt that it is an entirely new spin on the action genre!

Wow...too bad it's not coming out now. I actually liked the simplistic art direction and the vibrant colors. Not what you usually see in a fighting game and that is a good thing.

Re: VGA HDTV with Dreamcast?
Not really HD, but progressive scan, which is a lot better than interlaced. True! It's only HD if the resolution is a minimum of 720p. 480p is considered Enhanced Definition and despite it not being labeled as HD, the picture quality is incredible. One look at Soul Calibur running in 480p may make ...

I probably wouldn't buy it either. I never got much use out of the original VMU's.

Ahh...that video of Q3A brings back some really good memories of playing online for the first time. I had never played an online deathmatch even though I was an avid Q2 fan at the time, until SegaNet came along and I started playing Q3A.
