Well. as far as i know, people still use fs_open to navegate through directories. At least that is what i use.

Personally, if I were you, I'd build off of an existing engine. Writing an entire library for a FPS (which I assume is what you're getting at) would be an extremely time consuming project to take on. But one more question.
Which of this engines have been ported to Dreamcast? Obviously Quake3 engine should be there, but is it open source?
I searching for this info because i need to read code because i am making my own engine, and well it's kinda big project xD.

Hi there. It's long time since i've been here.
I have some weird questions.

I have heard about some quake-engines and things like that. (Half Life, Quake, etc ).
What are this things?
Where can i get some "updated" info about them?
Are there more engines?

Ohh, well, i'm talking about DC dev.

What i do in this cases generally is to have a pointer of the needed classes in each clasee an a member like: GetLevelObject(), GetSomething().
Maybe it's not strict OOP but it works nicely and make life much easier.

Also, i want to ask something.
Now that i have this "new" sdl and kgl libraries, when i triy to compile and run the kos kgl samples, they do run, but doesn't should what they should anymore.
The samples are not working anymore.
Any ideas of what could it be?

Ok. I've got and elf file after compiling my program for dreamcast. Now what are the steps to make it into a bootable iso.
Once i tried a tutorial which teaches you how to make the cd manually using cdrecord but it didn't work,
I'm under linux, is there a software i need.. or anything?

Yep, i modified banner.c an make it a normal char array(it was weird). Now it compiled well.
I have compiled all KOS, kos-ports, kos examples(i also tested most of them), dcload-ip. Everything works fine.
