The toothpaste thing does not work. It made a bad copy of Jet Grind Radio even worse. Hehe...it's a risk. Luckily my friend is crazy as it is, so he just attacks them. I swear, he got a PS2 game with a long deep scratch running cross the middle of the disc to play after using that stuff. :o Anyway,...

Check dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com. Off the top of my head:

Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram
F355 Challenge
One of the Tetris Games from JP

There's 2 more, I believe.

If you need to open it, you'll need some Torx screwdrivers. I realized that when I went to check out the inards of an Xbox and couldn't get into it with a Phillips. :|

the part number is different and it is 'limited edition' aka numbered. So limited edition that playasia and liksang have multitudes of them in stock for around $10. im pretty sure that it actually IS limited edition, but that they both god some horribly large portion of the total amount from...

You could try a Disc Doctor, thought that's probably not a solution you're looking for. The toothpaste method etc. may sound grotto, but it does work. My friend has fixed many CDs that way. :o BTW, I did get a reply from sega-parts, so it looks like they're still in business...but I need to send the...

Jet Set (Grind) Radio is simply incredible. It still looks amazing, even today. Best graphics, I'd say. Though a case can be easily made for Shenmue...

And how 'bout Rez? :P

MaximumZero wrote:Again, quick question for now and future reference: Sega-Parts.com ....the DC games they have---new or preowned?
I emailed them just now, will post if I get a response. TBH, this website looks a bit old, like it hasn't been updated in a good while. :?

It is funny how we save these original boxes, MaximumZero. I have a 4X memory card, a controller, and two VMU packaging visible from where I am currently sitting. Trust me, I have much more packaging than what you see. I have 3 controller boxes, 3 VMU boxes (one old-style blister, and two box...

Re: My fan stopped spinning.

The fan in my Dreamcast is not spinning anymore. When I cut on the DC, all I get is a blank/black screen and it doesnt make that "zzwwhhzz" sound anymore and the LED stays on. At first my DC was reseting, so I opened the thing up, blew the dust off (it didnt have much dust in it), and put...

Definately go with a VGA box. The official Sega one is the best, but it's hard to find, unless you're from Japan. It wasn't really released in the US, (though I think you could order it through Sega.com for a short period), but it's the best VGA box by far. On Shenmue 1&2 , Rez, Headhunter, Swor...

Pretty nice, though I must admit the extra fan looks a bit grotto, looking kinda strapped on the side like that.

I'd definately add some controller leds; make 'em a different color than the white led you have though.

The funny thing is, I thought it might be the fan, so I checked that on both...and still, nothing. I don't think I burned anything on the board, either, so I can't quite figure it out. I'll be sure to check all the connections etc. and see if there's a point where I really messed up. Thanks for the ...

If you want, I have a copy of it, complete etc. that I'd be willing to sell. It plays fine, etc. LMK if you'd be interested.
