Re: Genesis+ Status?
Has either GenesisPlusDC or Gens4all reached testing stage? I'd be more than happy to do some pre-release testing. Unfortunately, Gens DC is not ready yet. I know i always come across telling the same story, but I am still debugging the asm VDP. It will take a while, and i am now pretty sure i will...

Re: Genesis+ Status?
Thank you for the update, however one concern regarding the roms list. (sorry to brag on about this but i feel this needs sorting out) when this is released will the roms list be sorted out. As one of the main problems with genesisplusdc is its accessibility due to the roms list, which is frustrati...

Re: Genesis+ Status?
GenesisPlusDC supports the following extensions: ".zip", ".gen", and ".bin". I posed the very same question about gens4all over at the Dremcast.es forums, but haven't gotten a response. I think the prevailing view is, it'll happen if it'll happen. Right now as far as I...

Re: Genesis+ Status?
Anyways if you got nothing to lose, I'd be more than happy to give anything a test shot. I wonder if the gens4all possible March date will happen, as it was mentioned by Fox <He did say no promises> over at dcemu.co.uk not long ago. Maybe because of the RetroMadrid event? Yes, that's right. The fir...

Neo4all RC2
Hey, here is the 2nd release candidate of Neo4all :D This new version features the lastest FAME core and the new FAZE (Z80 emulator for DC). Basically, the emulation speed in some games have been improved, specially in Metal Slug 2 (i recommend to overclock the m68k and underclock the z80 for this g...

Not sure, but very likely. FAZE is not as complex as FAME in terms of generation options.Christuserloeser wrote:Hm, I got a question regarding FAZE then: Do you think it would be save to implement FAZE from the MAME4ALL source into GenesisPlusDC ?
I will take a look into this when i have some free time.
Cheers.

However, the improvement is that now a newer version of FAME is implemented, which allows us to report games that do not work with the new FAME version (like Streets of Rage II). There are some problems running GPDC with FAME. Those are related with the way GPDC treats IRQs. I managed to see this d...

I'll post my notes regarding things that I'd love to see implemented next: Updating to the newest FAME + FAZE versions - Both have been released with the latest MAME4All update: http://chui.dcemu.co.uk/releases/mame4all-alpha2-src.tar.bz2 Keep in mind that the FAME source found in MAME4ALL is not s...

Well, the original info was from Chui not aquireo Yes, the original post was by Chui. We were testing the very first preliminar development last weekend. Chui never dissapoints. He launched the first run in front of me, and it was really good :D I asked him to play Metal Slug X, because i love Meta...

There is something in FAME is getting me crazy these days while fixing some bugs. Probably you could help me in this point. :) Fidling with FAME code i found that removing or leaving some pieces of code makes FAME to run faster or slower (both in raw tests and in GP/DC) :?: I think this should have ...

Threading CDDA KOS operations
I was wondering if there is any way to avoid system stalls when doing CDDA operations with KOS. This is, changing audio track, stopping, and so on. The DC gets stalled during a short time, and this is annoying
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

ARM assembly language compatibility
Hi, i am thinking about programming for the ARM processor inside the DC in assembly language, but i would like to know if the assembly language for this processor (ARM7) is compatible (this is, i can run the same assembly code) with, for example, the ARM9 inside the GP32. In addition, what are the d...

It seems similar-ish to the way that StarScream or RAZE do things. You describe the memory layout to the CPU emulator, and it does most of the work. You only call a handler function if you need to, for hardware registers or such. Not really that hard to deal with, as long as you actually know the m...
