Re: Server Event: Candy Caper 2

Thanks for the sweet event! When can we trade in all of these tricky treats?

By the way, will there be a similarly-themed event for Thanksgiving? The drops could be turkey, ham, goose, duck, chicken, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, carrots, pumpkin pie, etc.!

Adventure Game Studio (AGS) for Dreamcast (Paid Work)

tl;dr Anyone want to please port the Adventure Game Studio engine to Dreamcast? Payment options are on the table. I was browsing the contents of the PSP branch of AGS at [ https://github.com/adventuregamestudio/ ] after discovering that Adventure Game Studio has gone open source. Looking there, it s...

Where to Get Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 PSOv2 (PC, Windows)

Seriously, I'm at my wit's end. Where can one get a copy of PSOv2 for Windows? I can't find Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 on Amazon, eBay, or anywhere else I've searched.

Well we need a few more details here. When you plug the USB enclosure into the MacBook Pro, does it recognize it correctly as the device it is, or does it show something like "Generic USB Device" or some such? Which version of OS X are you using? Have you applied all the latest updates/pat...

I think yellow is for regulation by system, so I'd just tape it closed with electrical tape.

Best Way for VMU <-> PC Connection

Okay, so right now I am looking for a way to get my save files from my VMS/VMU to my Dreamcast. Now I can't use the "modem way" (as creating a modem to modem bridge is a pain and I don't have dialup access). So now I am looking for one of the direct methods that doesn't require a BBA. Skil...

I haven't received my copy yet, but I place a big vote of confidence in MetaFox. Even if some disaster did strike the shipment of magazines -- say some deranged postal worker who was the forward cause of the PS2 hype that helped cripple the Dreamcast, who was worried about a resurrection of the pheo...

Blue Stinger, Illbleed Creator Dies from Heart Attack

A dreamer, a game maker, and an all-around good man, the maker of some of our dear Dreamcast games has passed on due to a heart attack. The full story about Shinya Nishigaki and his death can be found here: http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/07/12/news_6100692.html Would some please put this on the f...

Reminder: New GOAT Store Games Go on Sale Tomorrow

Just thought I should drop a reminder for everyone that the GOAT Store's two new Dreamcast games, Inhabitants and Maqiupai, will be released tomorrow, May 22nd. Mods might want to put this up on the main page.

Here's their press release from awhile back:

Stepping In

Time to clean up a little confusion on things by clearing the air. First of all I am really happy with the amount of interest shown thus far and all the valuable opinions on the matter. Everyone's opinion counts because you all are the crowd these discs are to apply to. We really would like more peo...

Cases

Though I appreciate your willingness to help, the cost of shipping cases to myself would be more expensive than if I were to buy new ones direct from a local store.

Casings

A slipsleeve would be alright for this kind of project, but if you want to go the jewelcase direction, I'd suggest you do what I am doing for Chikugoyaku - buy used games with uncracked cases, take the cases, clean them, and sell the leftover game to a flea market or eBay. I appreciate the advice. ...

Front Page News

Thanks to MetaFox "Furious Music" is making front page news at a number of emulation and homebrew spots. As a courtesy to him and people barely finding out about FM I will extend our market testing for two more weeks. If enough interest is shown by May 2nd, we'll go forward with our produc...

Sad News

Preempted below. Unfortunately it seems that there is little to no real interest in an official FoF swap disc at this time. Though I am sure there are a number of you still interested, it seems that there is not enough gamers curious about this given the reaction from various homebrew-friendly site...

Furious Music -- Official Feet of Fury Swap Disc

Hello Everyone My name is Sean Robinson and I'm head of Nz17 Productions. My organization was thinking of releasing some official swap CDs for the commercial homebrew game Feet of Fury. Thing is, before we move forward with production, I want to guage the loyal Dreamcast fans' reaction first. These ...

well, the servers dns is not stored in your flash rom, thats why you need a trick to make the game connect to the homebrew server instead of the one saved in the game. the dns settings in your isp infos are not connected at all Forgive my naivity and further questions, but then do users of the BBA ...

DNS

This may seem a silly question, but if the point of using a CodeBreaker is to change the DNS server to Neo-Ice's to redirect a game session to the homebrew server, then why is a CodeBreaker needed at all? After all, every PlanetWeb DC Web Browser allows for changing the DNS, and Marcus Comstedt's Fl...
