Re: Help with transparancy?

I've emailed over a photoshop doc to you Mattie. It's from a sig competition that Infinity Ward did prior to the release of the CoD4. You should be able to use the "Modern Warfare" text with the scanlines effect from that as it's on a new layer allowing it to be overlayed whatever backgrou...

Re: 2d Fighters on dreamcast pad :(

The DC arcade sticks are pretty good and are also great if you like playing 2D shooters or any fighting game for that matter. The sticks are solid but the buttons aren't microswitched if that's someting that bothers you. You might also want to check out the Treamcast Pad or even the MadCatz Dream Pa...

Re: I'm Trying To Play Shenmue II PAL On An NTSC Dreamcast

If you have the discjuggler file then you could use the CDI Rip app in the Macpack 4 (http://dcemulation.org/?p=tools/pc/mac/main) set of apps. Depending on the files that it outputs you can then use toast to burn a CD-ROM XA disc, usually with 2 sessions. It's been some time since I've had to do th...

Re: Dreamcast 2008 HD ** Update 1 **

Re: Rez comparisons. I downloaded the Rez HD demo the other day, played it then tried my DC version after. Rez HD looked really good, noticably better than the DC via VGA with the line work looking much smoother and anti-aliased. Don't get me wrong the DC version still looked good but the HD version...

Re: Question about getting an Xbox 360 repaired...

My 360 also has a sticking tray. Sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn't. I have it vertical as I'm lacking space for it horizontal and have a fan stand, but it opens nearly all the time if I leave a disc in. Tapping the front of the tray just as it tries to eject sometimes works too.

Re: Starter dreamcast games

I'd like to recommend a few and go for: Rayman 2 - excellent platforming with a nice sense of humour and cute graphics. Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 - more adventure/platforming but in my opinion not as good as Rayman 2. Virtua Tennis 1 or 2 - easy to pick up but with plenty of depth Space Channel 5 - a g...

Re: can anyone recommend a screen protector for dslite?

I just bought a pack of screen protectors for some HP PDA/Palm type device and cut them down to fit. Been OK so far. They scratch quite easily though but I got about 12 or 15 in a pack.

Amen to that. Multiple simultaneous friend chat would be great, as would other codecs for video formats.

I quite like this LP single. I agree that it's pretty much more of the same and I think that a wider lyrical approach is in order, but I think for what they do, they do it very well. I still prefer stuff with a bit more bite but think they meld the pop in pretty well whilst creating something reason...

Christuserloeser posted his first impressions over at DC Emu UK if you're curious: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=55123&page=4 I'd be interested to find out what others' views are too as I'm considering buying. EDIT: Just picked up the latest issue of Edge (No. 175, May 2007) ...

Maybe try Alien Hominid HD on XBLA if you like Metal Slug. Or perhaps something like God Of War 1 or 2 on PS2.

I might be wrong, but didn't the DC just have 2 64bit bits (if you know what I mean) rather than a 128bit cpu?

I have fond memories of Star Fleet although a lot of people my age don't seem to remember it. I've been looking around on the net and there doesn't seem to be a sign of a UK DVD release though. I would really love to see it all again. The big white furry creature, the yellow flappy robot and the bad...

I'd go if the original Sabbath line-up played. - Fuzmeister I went to Ozzfest in '98 at Milton Keynes bowl and they rocked. Bill Ward came on stage (I think he was recovering from a heart attack if I remember correctly) and Ozzy pulled his trousers down. I don't remember him playing though - I thin...

I've never bothered with extended warranties and I don't think I will as it just seems like handing over easy money to the store at the time. I just hope things will last. We shouldn't be buying products with 1 year life spans so I hope and trust that they've not been engineered that way. Ironically...

I dont know if it's because I'm on a Mac (firefox 2.0.0.1) but the black copy "DCEmulation.com is a site dedicated to emulation on the Sega Dreamcast videogames console" looks a little out of place and drops down to a second line and looks a little odd. A minor point I know but it would lo...

I'm coming in a little late here but I think (for what it's worth) that the redesign looks very smart and stylish. The cleaner design is lovely and I like the more muted colour scheme. The only think I would like to suggest is that it doesn't become the same kind of redundant static front page that ...
